rednecks_r_us said:When you engage the e-brake it grounds the circuit sending the signal to the light on the dash. On mine I just grounded the wire that goes to the e-brake light from the DVD player.
Now I can watch movies anytime.

ps can't get the 2 close up pics of just the screen to load for some reason, i'll try again later, but you get the idea here
Woody54 said:that sounds almost too easy. just take the wire from the back of the unit and ground it. that's all?!
i don't have to, but it makes cleaning them SO much easier - you can literally just hose them off and they're clean.aMaff said:you have to seal wheels? I didn't think that allow wheels were particularly porous...
it is SO worth the time it takes to do (which really isn't long).aMaff said:oooooooooooo, I may need to grab me some of that! That sounds pretty awesome, esp w. my dusty pads (on both cars...)

this is my 'recipe' for sealing my wheels:
1. clean with P21S wheel cleaner - make sure you get the gel, not the liquid; it sticks better to the wheel
2. rinse off and dry with a waffle weave towel
3. apply Klasse All-In-One (AIO) on the outside AND inside of the rim; let 'set' for about 15 min, then remove with a microfibre towel
4. apply Poorboys Wheel Sealant (make sure you're not hungry, the stuff smells really good) with a foam applicator, again to both the outside and inside of the rim. i do each rim and once i'm done the fourth, i go back and remove the sealant in the order it was applied. sealant is removed with a clean microfibre towel.
5. repeat step 4. you can do this a third time if you like, but i really don't know how much extra protection it offers.
6. put clean rims on car
when you wash your car from now on (using regular car wash soap), dirt literally washes off with little to no wiping.
the best place to get the above products is www.exceldetail.com. patrick's awesome, his shipping is fast, and his prices are some of the best (first)
I have HPs on the REAR of the Miata. They're not dusty, and the rear wheels are actually perpetually clean. The HP+s on the fronts of the Miata, and the Greenstuffs all around on the P5 are pretty dusty.Kansei said:don't you have HPS on one of your cars? Why are mine not dusty?
