When you engage the e-brake it grounds the circuit sending the signal to the light on the dash. On mine I just grounded the wire that goes to the e-brake light from the DVD player.

Now I can watch movies anytime.

that sounds almost too easy. just take the wire from the back of the unit and ground it. that's all?!

ok well i'm not sure if you were being scarcastic or not but i'm proud of the headunit so i'm puttin up pics anyways....
ps can't get the 2 close up pics of just the screen to load for some reason, i'll try again later, but you get the idea here

No I really wanted to see it, Im trying to go the same setup. Thanks for the pics.

My motor mount inserts came in yesterday. They should be going in some time next week :D

Yep. that's why all new units with built in GPS rely on the GPS instead of the e-brake.. no fooling that :) (second)

going to clean and seal the summer wheels today in prep for going on later this week :) that is if my knees and back will let me.

anyone want to help me? i have to lug the damn things up from the basement and into the car and they're half my weight. wish i was joking about that...

you have to seal wheels? I didn't think that allow wheels were particularly porous...

i don't have to, but it makes cleaning them SO much easier - you can literally just hose them off and they're clean.

check out poorboys wheel sealant. a couple of coats of that on properly cleaned and prepped wheels and dirt just wipes off the rest of the summer.

oooooooooooo, I may need to grab me some of that! That sounds pretty awesome, esp w. my dusty pads (on both cars...)

I got my WRX 440cc injectors, hooray! $85 shipped, plus a $15 Paypal coupon = $70.

Now if Mazduh would hurry up and get my LCA back to me with the new dust seal pressed on, I could resume finishing this project some time in the next 6-12 months.

it is SO worth the time it takes to do (which really isn't long).

this is my 'recipe' for sealing my wheels:
1. clean with P21S wheel cleaner - make sure you get the gel, not the liquid; it sticks better to the wheel
2. rinse off and dry with a waffle weave towel
3. apply Klasse All-In-One (AIO) on the outside AND inside of the rim; let 'set' for about 15 min, then remove with a microfibre towel
4. apply Poorboys Wheel Sealant (make sure you're not hungry, the stuff smells really good) with a foam applicator, again to both the outside and inside of the rim. i do each rim and once i'm done the fourth, i go back and remove the sealant in the order it was applied. sealant is removed with a clean microfibre towel.
5. repeat step 4. you can do this a third time if you like, but i really don't know how much extra protection it offers.
6. put clean rims on car :)

when you wash your car from now on (using regular car wash soap), dirt literally washes off with little to no wiping.

the best place to get the above products is www.exceldetail.com. patrick's awesome, his shipping is fast, and his prices are some of the best (first)

Nice, I need to do this. My HP+ dusted like a sonuvagun, I can't remember how these Axxis are, been too long since I drove my car hahaha. Another solution is getting gunmetal wheels, like the RX7 wheels. They are already brake dust colored when clean :D

I have HPs on the REAR of the Miata. They're not dusty, and the rear wheels are actually perpetually clean. The HP+s on the fronts of the Miata, and the Greenstuffs all around on the P5 are pretty dusty.

Cruised up to Ontario this weekend, car crossed the 140k mark. Did 75 up and back and got 33 mpg.

On the way back stopped at a Mazda Dealer in NY that had a 2007 Miata Touring PRHT and took it for a long test drive. I am in love. Guy gave me the keys and said to take it out by myself!! Haven't had that happen in a while.

Thats what I did. But check your wiring diagrams. every stereo can be different.

Mine was a green wire that the directions said to connect to the e-brake light.

I cleaned mine up a little and took some pictures of her next to her sibling.
