arent you lowered... you got an alignment at mazda????

Well today was an eventful day. Went home to recharge my K&N filter and once that was done, I headed back to my apartment. On the way home at a red light, A trucker decides to cut it too close when braking towards the rear of my car and he hits me before he stops. Now I have a bunch of scratches, a couple of pretty deep gouges from his license plate and the screws and I wasted 2 hours of my day waiting for the cop since it was second shift. I would have just gone on my way after we exchanged info and called it in but when my mom got hit, she was given false info and ended up not being able to do a damn thing. I should be hearing back from his insurance company tomorrow so hopefully I can get this all nice and repaired. It is also now loose not where the bumper attaches to the rear quarter panel but where the plastic attaches to the wheel well if you know what I mean. Either way, I'm not touching it until all this insurance stuff goes through. Luckily he didn't hit me harder and I'm perfectly ok.

Well maybe you were thinking that because if you go to low you cant get a proper alignment without camber plates ect ect. to get it into spec.

soo uhh i cant bring mine in then....because i have coilovers and am verrry low... i was told no by friends that i cant just get a regular alignment..

Its all dependant on the mechanic and what he is willing to do. I will do anything but if I do alignments on the side I always charge more for lower/more adjustable suspension setups.

I'm only on Tein S-Tech and Tokico Blues and have been told "no" by every local alignment shop AND the Mazda dealership I bought my car from. So I just dropped it off at my local tire shop I bought my tires from and asked for an alignment, left my keys with the tech and went to work. Only to receive a phone call from the shop 10 minutes later. Uh-oh. "Mr. Lewis? -Yeah? -We have your Mazda about to be aligned, do you want us to put in some washers to adjust your camber? -Wow, um, no thanks, but thanks anyway... -Sure thing, Mr. Lewis. Would you want any toe in/out? It looks like you auto-x your car? -Wow again, no thanks, just as close to factory specs as possible. Thank you though! -No problem, she'll be done around noon." I love Leipold Tire in Stow, Ohio...

My local Tuffy also said they won't be able to do my alignment. They don't want to waste their time putting down wood or other things for the car to get up on the alignment rack properly. I found a place that does all kinds of cars and specializes in lowered cars so I'll be going there next time I need an alignment.

I am on s-techs as well and my local tires plus has no problem doing my msp.

i meant to say i thought you couldnt just get a regular alignment with a lowered setup...ie coilovers...

maybe its just that shop you never know.

So are all shops capable of doing an alignment also capable of doing an alignment on a lowered car...with aftermarket suspension... some just dont want to mess with it? I think i see whats going on here....

How is your tire wear?
