What have you done to your P5 today?

Sounds like time for a rebuild. If you're going to go turbo now would be a good time to start sourcing parts.
 
Or...you can just admit that it's an FS-DE and makes sounds that it shouldn't make...
 
I'm not going to boost. I am just gonna drive the hell out of it while it's under warranty

Just got a call from the mechanic. Turns out I just get a new headgasket

he pulled the motor all apart and can't see anything else. He said if he still has the rodknock after the new gasket goes in, he can still fight with the warranty company, but, until it does finally pop, i keep this block

And he is putting endlinks on all 4 corners new as well


You can be sure the problem will wait until you are out of warranty to show up.

Well, I discovered that I now need to replace the drivers side caliper. The boot around the piston is all torn up and the piston will not retract. (Yes, I know to turn the allen head in the back to do it...guess what...it's frozen and I rounded the head out) I said screw it and put it all back together.
 
Swapped the race pads out for street pads, got the car washed and then painted the rear valence flat black. MSP lip is on the way...

That looks remarkably similar to the rear of my car... but You don't have the rusty underside that I do...
