I seriously doubt it will be anything that simple. I was thinking more along the lines of a blown headgasket, or something like that. But I commend your optimism!
headgasket would do it as well. as long as its fixable and dont have to replace it right now, that would make my life a hell of a lot easier lol
I'd rather have to R&R the head gasket, book time is 6.6 hours. Even at my shop (and I'm a relatively expensive shop- specialize in European) you'd get out the door for probably $1300 whereas the turbo alone is going to cost you that. I can have the head off of an FS in no time at all. Plus it's a perfect time to do the timing belt and port the head. I sublet my machine shop work out, and for an FS I'd get charged about $110 to clean, check, machine and renew valve stem seals. Again, that's just my personal/professional opinion.a headgasket typically means that you are in for a LOT of labor, a new gasket, (ideally ARP head studs) and at minimum, have a machine shop check out the head. Personally if I had the head off, i'd be looking at port work and a valve job.
If it were my car, I would be praying it is something as easy as a turbo replacement instead, even if it is going to cost you another couple hundred bucks or so. lol
^^ So thats how you do it. lol
I'm going to take a wild guess and say you don't have a smoke machine lying around so that you can smoke test it, do you? Or a scan tool that shows live data and can record your short term and long term fuel trims along with o2 and maf inputs?Lol no. It actually really pisses me off. I finally get all my check engine lights to go away. 4 days later this code comes on.
Any ideas on how to get rid of a lean code/what would cause it?

LIES all LIES thats how you do it! lmao Sorry bro no idea how you go about fixign that one. I would say a leak but check your couplers and make sure theya re all tight. I would say a leak but thats less liekly due to you running relocated maf setup.Lol no. It actually really pisses me off. First of all, have a hydrocarbon test done to determine whether you've got exhaust gases entering the cooling system. I've never had a failed turbo be the culprit on a hydrocarbon test. A hydrocarbon test can be done in like 5 minutes. For the most part, I don't charge for hydrocarbon tests, but I'm not sure if other shops do or not. You could always go and buy the kit yourself. I think NAPA brought a flyer in a couple of weeks ago and it had one in there for $25 with the fluid. It's really simple and straight forward.Well none of that sounds good for my empty pockets lol as of now if it was that am I fine to continue to drive it sine it is driving fine as of now.... That's a lot of work and money .... My shop charges $67 an hr wich isn't bad, my buddy charges freindship lol or what ever I offer him . So what's the best way to go with this ..... ?

What generic DTC do you have? P0171?
Do a visual inspect of all your charge piping... If you don't find anything, I'd just take it somewhere and have a smoke test done. I charge .5hr of labor to do it. You'd be surprised what a smoke test can show. I thought I had all my couplers tight, and I mean I had them ******* tight! I decided to smoke test it one day after driving cor a few thousand miles since installing the FMIC and half of the couplers were leaking. They weren't huge leaks, but I was really surprised. Didn't throw an MIL either.I don't remember the code off hand. And no I don't have a smoke machine. And the only thing I have to moniter the fuel Trims is my ssafc datlogging feature
