CAI... any differential in temperature will result in a hotter intake charge whether you have the best IC in the world or not. The bottom line is that the cooler the air is before you start heating or cooling it, the better it is for you. That said, I don't think the difference is significant, so my intake ends above my transmission.
its also DEFINITELY not for a protege of any sort.
lol thank you, it doesn't have to be noticable differences, but no matter how you cut it, cooler air is still cooler air, and im not always driving 55+miles, around town cai is bringing in cooler air more so than the sri, doesn't have to be noticeable or proven on the dyno, but still... (it also depends on how hot it is outside compared to in the engine bay..)also I thought the point of the aluminum piping is so that it cools and releases heat better than the plastic and other materials??? but thats the end of that....no need to continue.
so today I worked on my brother's car for a change, man is that thing a mess, I really hate the mechanic/original owner, but I was able to get the wiring all set for the wideband, take off the front bumper, re-aligning his FMIC and kinda fix the fitting/bolts, found out I will have to take off the midpipe to get a bung welded in there so I can move the secondary o2 sensor behind the welded in cat on the old CS exhaust, and so I can put the wideband o2 in the front bung of the custom made s and j pipe.. also installed the little clip things that go onto the headlights that hold the front bumper up more, the guy didn't even reinstall those I guess so they were missing, and reinstalled his 440cc RC injectors back into the car, hmm, oh and installed his new wga that took forever for a Garret dealership to find one that would work on his turbo
-tomorrow the midpipe comes off and goes to the welder, I'm gonna replace my HID fog light in my car, install the ssafc in my brother's car and get the routing for the wideband o2 sensor all set, a lot of work but fun to see it coming along, and I can't wait for my last 2 couplers to come in for my FMIC kit to make it all fit together and be done with finally
