FINALLY!!!!!! Got a latch from XC that i can try to make my hood fit properly without having to do a ton of custom work. They also threw in a trunk. Now i just need to find the time to do the installs.

was gonna take'em when i was done, i figured the trunk would be easy and took about 30 minutes to take everything off the oem trunk but no holes were drilled for the trim pieces or the lock. The holes the did drill for the license plate lights are not big enough. It's gonna take time to make sure i get all that right and i don't have time right now

Quick question - don't really have time to search before anyone bitches

Can we put syncromesh trans fluid in our trans without it harming it? I recall reading something about that awhile back but not 100% sure on it.

FINALLY replaced the (BROKEN) stock hot pipe today.... can't wait for more $$$ to roll in, just curious, but I'd like opinions on where to start first, I literally have everything stock... sept the WGA and hot pipe obviously. Idk, as probably the ultimate newbie, I'd like some advice on where to start

Ha thanks, I read that thread a long time ago (and was completely lost) now I actually can comprehend most things on there, so thanks for the link... but would the CAI be a bad idea? it seems easy enough, even though seeming and actually being are very different, and I hate that ugly airbox...

BTW I ask here bc I've read quite a few of your (Wagon) threads and posts, and you have a lot of good insight, I kinda lean towards your opinions

if you wanna discuss ideas this is my SN on AIM... my whole goal with my car was to improve the car and keep it as drivable as possible.

personally I don't feel a CAI is worth the risk of hydrolocking, even if that risk is small.

Blue lights in your headlight housing is just giving cops another excuse to pull you over, IMHO... I try to avoid the 5-0 like the plague; maybe that's just me.

Haha. I give you permission to light my car on fire if I ever install those.

ya, I think I have been lucky with the cops not caring about lights around here, like I said before they have plenty of other stuff to worry about, and plenty of speeders to catch, it's like cat and mouse lol
Now just imagine your car but bright yellow. LOL

Just sold my hood, yesterday. Getting a new hood & trunk on Saturday. (smoke)
^^ or bright orange, luckily/ or unluckily I'm the only 1 around for the most part with this car, so I think most of them, at least the local cops knows it me and don't really have the need to bug me unless they can get me for something, but I haven't really heard of anyone getting pulled over for illegal tint (which I have to so oh well, so many other people have it too), or lights and stuff b/c so many other cars have white/blue xenons, they'd have to pull everyone over, I did notice though when I drove to Ohio to see my cousins last summer, I was like the only one of the highway for quite a while with HID lights in, was kinda funny

As in a new CF trunk!! that was pretty nice of them, even though they did screw up the hood latch pretty bad, but damn, a new trunk is sweet

I see a lot of people driving in Cincy with HIDs... Especially with all the bimmer & benz drivers around here. I also got 5000k lo-beams for a reason; no need for blue attention grabbing, less light outputting nonsense. ;)

And I feel you about the cops knowing who you are. I'm pretty sure all the Local UC PD & Cincinnati PD know my car, lol. Was pulled over once right after I moved down here for some BS that I got thrown out in court. Since then, they haven't messed with me in the last 3 years. Aside from one warning I got from a cool CPD for going 47 in a 35 last year.
