What have you done to your Miata today?

Dyno vid up, thanks tungsten
No problemo.
I too dyno'd mine just for s****.
I knew my car was healthy but damn! more than happy with this

My stock build 1.6L made 114 on a dynojet. Stock ECU, stock flapper-valve air meter. I figured a 1.8L VICS / VVT motor would best that easily. That's why I'm surprised.

no, a stock 1.6 with 200K plus also dyno'd 92 right after us, he was just spouting random facts

lol, ok

found good bits of news

1) Link still makes the serial adapter, but no word on price and it'd have to be shipped from New Zealand (guessing $65-70 plus shipping)
2) a guy on miataturbo also builds them on his own PCB for $45
3) It still looks like I can build on myself for under $20

since I assume you're going to keep the car for a while, I say get it from Link. That's just me though, I like to have the original stuff (and I',m usually too lazy to make my own)

just waiting to hear a price, but yeah, i'm thinking i'll buy from Link, if not from the guy on miataturbo

I should check on mine when I get home from work! :D Just a couple more months of hibernation.

So I started my car this morning and when I got to the stop sign pushed in the clutch and I hear a grinding noise.
Car still feels fine to me, but that damn noise is not good at all.

Recorded a video as well

Sounds like a dead throwout bearing, from it doing it every time you press the clutch.

The only thing I am concerned about is that dip at 6200-6300 RPMs and then the spike back up.

I think the answer lies in this video, if you watch carefully at about 1:23.

Someone fat-fingered something in the tune there...

i noticed that too as i watched the vid, but missed it as it was happening
