What have you done to your Miata today?

oh goody goody. . . found a guy on miataturbo that has done a schematic and built 1 prototype unit, but no word if it's worked yet

Ooooooh, I didn't realize that. I thought it was just a serial / usb type issue of getting the right cable. Sorry 'bout that.

yup, that's it.

Guy at work said he could do it no problem, but suggest finding a local electronics shop with the capability to print boards for a cleaner install.

Now to source the firmware for it

for the 232? that chip doesn't require programming, it will convert the signals as they come in, baud rate is set by the capacitor configuration. You just need to match it to what the ECU handles

ah, i'm no electronics guy, i figured it needed some sort of software. . . interesting

yeah, if that board is what you need then it's real simple. Just confirm with the guy that gave you the schematic what diodes he used and you'll be set.

can your friend do the schematic so you can have the board printed? if not let me know and I'll make you one, or you could just ask the same guy for the file (if he got it to work)

i'm talking to the guy on miataturbo that actually provided that schematic and he's offering to build them as well on a proper PCB, just waiting to hear what his cost is

Flyin miata turbo II kit with the link ecu (early gen kit from late 90's)
