Letting the car sit for 10 minutes after siphoning seafoam for the first time. Going to have oil changed today and picking up drivers side foglight bulb.

How did that M5 run? :)

you know what, suprsingly good for such a heavy ass car.
I know its more driver determined, but most of the time he started on teh track ahead of me, i could pass him. Even on the straights!!! which was kinda weird, im thinkin he was a timid driver... didnt wanna risk his uber expensive car, LOL!

but we talked a bunch as he was setup in the paddock right by me.
Cool guy, we were neck & neck in many of the straights, but some straights and ALL the turns i gained tons of distance on him, lol.

Here is me on the coarse. Im too far off to hear my car, but the v8 you can hear somehow makes noise in perfect sync with my car at the beginning... its kinda funny:

Yellow overlays anyone?

i agree with teh others, go 3k HIDs for a nice bright yellow.

oh and boosted, SICK ass pics!!! i agree with the decision on the tails too. tinted is getting a little played out. keke.

All parts have arrived for the blow through setup! Now I just need some time off to actually do it. Damn these 6 day work weeks.

I would imagine the 500hp V10 made up for it's weight, lol. Not to mention that it's only 400lbs heavier than our MS6's, if I'm remembering right (ours are 3600 lbs and an M5 is a little bit over 4000lbs).

Not to mention the M5 wears its weight a lot better than the MS6. Cars of two drastically different classes really. One is $80,000. One was $30,000 when new. Eventually you can actually spend enough money to justify the saying "you get what you pay for." :D

Hah, yes...near 50/50 weight distribution also helps. I think my BMW fanboy-ness is showing.

I changed my oil and filter, topped off coolant and windshield washer fluid. Finished nightshading my tails. Oh and I learned that the BPV that came on the car isn't the one that comes stock. And it was ghetto rigged to fit. One side cut off slightly and the other bored out. Lame.

I may be sitting in an airport 700 miles from my car, but at my final destination I'm buying a set of never mounted RX-8 wheels for $400. I'm gonna leave them with a friend out here in I'll and then when I move out here at the end of the month I'm gonna wrap them with 235 40 R18 hankook ventus V12. I can't wait. With stock suspension I shouldn't need a roll or spacers are anything, correct? I know very little about wheel sizing. I do know that the 235 40 18s will be within something like .5percent IIRC.

I had to take my PTP HPFP out today and send it in for a new one. I took some pics, and put together a "How To" for everyone. Don't waste your money on paying to get this installed. It's right on the top right side of the engine, with easy access. It takes like 20-30 minutes.

Here's the write up in the MS6 "how to" section from today, and a teaser pic, lol:

Why did you need a new one???

Fuel Pressure was crapping out a bit, and all of a sudden. I was only holding 145-290 PSI at idle. Once the pump first went in, I was holding 400-500 PSI at idle. I called PTP, and John was concerned about the low fuel pressure at idle, so he wanted me to send it back for a new one. The only thing that sucks is I'll have to break the new one in again. That, and I have no car in the meantime! lol I took it out and walked to the PO today and shipped it Priority mail. They also ship Priority mail, so I'm hoping to get it by Sat or Mon at the latest. My fuel pressure was also fading out under WOT, and all this happened "all of a sudden." So, make sure to do some logs of fuel pressure (regardless of the pump you have) from time to time, to make sure it's okay. Mine was holding 1,700-1,950 after it was broken in, and up until the other day. Kinda bummed, but I gotta wait for me new Perrin Pro ebcs to arrive next week anyways, so I can install them both at once. At least I was able to do a "how to hpfp" with pics, because it is SUPER easy, and I recommend all n00bs to take this on themselves. It takes like 30 minutes taking your time (and fighting with putting that zip tie on, lol).

I CAN'T WAIT to get this damn car in order, get some new tires, and FINALLY hit the track! I'm so sick of my car being down and out like this!!!

That sucks! Since their pump failed on you and is well known on msf to fail for other people you should of had them ship you the new pump first and then return the crappy one to them.

Thanks man. Yeah, I thought of that, but I didn't bother asking because I figured they'd want an $755 deposit, which I don't have at the moment. At least they ship Priority mail (like me), unlike those cheap asses at Cobb. When I shipped my AP to get fixed I mailed it Priority mail, and they had it in two days. They shipped it back UPS ground, and that added a whole week to the ordeal. I was out of an AP for 18 days. Thanks God the map I was using was great, and the MAF cal perfect. At least PTP ships fast. Don't worry, I'll be calling every day!! lol

That sucks Douge. Hope everything gets taken care of. My fuel pressure still looks good. I havent really been lookin at it lately. I do get a mid range studder pretty often in the upper gears at WOT. You can hear a slight back fire in the exhaust when it happens. AFR's stay at 11.3's. I hope to see how good the car will run with the blow through setup. it seems like the longer I run on a map the more slugish the car feels. Like I can barely be accelertating and holding over 5psi. Time for a reflash.

Thanks bro. What do you mean "I can barely be accelerating and holding over 5 PSI?" As in when you touch the throttle you're hitting 5 PSI? If so, that's probably the stock mapping for the accelerator. There's a "Jerky Throttle Fix" on MSF, but I think it sucks... I tried it once for like 1/2 day. I think it's for teh FWD folks.
