What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

my fuel consumption is through the roof!... gonna try and keep track of it over the next couple weeks......last week i got less than 400KM to a full tank

im not good at calculating MPG or KM/L... but i believe theres an app for that haha

definetly check if youve got a boost leak / exhaust leak / vaccum leak / or maybe even change out the plugs / check tire pressure.. just to name a few.

hahaha dude its soooo easy
how far you have gone divided by how many gallons it took you to fill up

if i went 400 miles and took 14 gallons to fill up id get 28.5mpg
also make a fuelly so you can keep track of all of your fill ups

oh and im going to be washing/waxing and changing the oil in the 6i
and then maybe my dad will let me drive his car idk. i may take video of me driving the stick again.

So yesterday after work i take my car in for a post-track alignment, only to find out i have a BENT MUTHERF#%King WHEEL!!!

FML right? so all my weekend plans are shot to hell.
Having to hunt down a used OEM speed6 rim. private sellers are only selling in sets of 4.
and a shop that deals in used OEM wheels has em but not nearly as cheap as a private seller. i can get 4 for $300, or ONE for $225. Biggest dilemna being i need it asap as its my daily driver, and do NOT want to destroy my new tires or risk the lugs being worked off their threads. So i cant wait for a new 4 set to be delivered from a private sale, and the only local sale i found is pending being sold. FML again right?

*sigh* i dont think i will be tracking my DD again. over $2k in track prep, $1.5k more than i planned. $300 weekend for room/food/gas. a room of which i didnt see a penny of reimbersment from those that "split" the room with me (3 others with me), and now a bent RIM i have to replace... then alignment/balance/camber adjustment.

FML 3x. im beyond poor right now. luckily the mod or two i had planned on, has money set aside for... might turn into food money. :(
sorry i had to vent.

See my post(s) in this thread. You may s*** bricks.

I used an economy 91-map via the Cobb AP a couple of weeks ago to drive five hours to my hometown. I stayed at 75mph on the interstate, with a couple of stops on the way for food and restroom. I got 39.1 miles per gallon average for the round trip. I'm no hyper-miler or anything like that, so don't accuse me of that kind of sillyness!

While the Cobb AP is huge for performance, it also is fantastic for economy as well. With my tuned power map I usually get 25 city and 32-34 highway. The extra 5-7 mpg are welcome to me!

Bricks, i s*** them. LOL!!! sounds like i might as well get an AP JUST for mileage. i plan to keep this car long term, so mileage saving ... it could pay itself off in just under 2 years!!

holy potatoes!

^^exactly why I bought a new DD. In the mean time the ms6 has been enjoying this time off.
I do need to get new summer tires for it though, what do you have on it now?

This is why I have the Miata.

do you think your spin out caused that?? id like to see a picture of the rim once its off the car and you got the new one on.

im thinking it was because of the spin out you had..

yes most likely the spin-out.
the way it was bent looked like it too. It pretty much reflects expected dmgs...
the inside lip caught the edge of the track as my car slide back onto pavement; side-ways.

Also, im sure it didnt help that the freeway on-ramp we took from the race-track like 4 times had this giant step where they were re-asphalting. we hit it HARD every time, 4 guys in the car along with coolers full of drinks, tools & chairs.

Bought a set of Yokohama Advan Sports in 225/45-18 for the new wheels. Got them from tires-easy.com, $600 shipped for 4. Not sure if they were on close out or what but I'm not complaining. They have the same tread wear rating as the stockers did so we'll see how many miles I get out of them.

oil change successful.
wash/wax failed lol. tomorrow for sure.
heres a pic of our stable right now :)

Borrow wheels from sombody? Haha that's what I did, my type M's are finally here though!!!!! I'm trying to get them delivered tonight if not I'll have to wait till next Friday for them to officially arrive

very envious of that stable.... my 1.5 car driveway covered by trees, on the busy-est street in my city is not good for cleaning cars let alone working on them
