What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

Just gave it a wash and a quick spray wax at the coin wash this weekend. Hopefully soon I'll have time to do a good clay and detail and a proper wax, but that'll do for now.

Finished the first go round of demodding this weekend. Still have my springs, rear swaybar, and test pipe to take off. Washed it and cleaned the engine bay up a bit too.

Taking it in tomorrow to get all the little things estimated. Going to need the rear pass. door trim and pass. side skirt refinished, and the dent in the front pass. door PDR'ed out. Hoping to take care of that in the next few weeks.

Finally got all my mods installed. The motor mount makes a HUGE difference I can't even believe it. That with the test pipe, TMIC, SRI, and HyperTech tuner the car is 10x better. I can't believe the difference a few mods can make on that car. No more falling flat at 5500rpm  If anyone is driving around in stock trim you're doing yourself a disservice.

Couldn't agree more. The car really wakes up with a few simple parts. Intake, motor mount, and shifter are a must for anyone.

got my sharkfin in the mail, to be installed at a later date(when the rain stops), got booked back in at the dealer for tomorrow to have a clunk looked at in the corner of the car they just had apart to replace the axle... which is holding up the install of my springs

some day the car will be prepared for summer

The shifter is not that bad. The V1 CTS-V on the other hand...worst ever.

Car is a blast now, I may keep it!

It's not bad, but the TWM really cleans it up a bit more. I'm sure the jbarone SSP would do the same. Just needs a little more polish to make it truly great (the shifter).

I did miss second once yesterday. Damn shifter!!

I need some slicks now. Who sells cheap 215/45's?

See, now you know what I'm talkin about. 3rd is the one you're more likely to miss with a stock shifter.

Skip 215/45s and get 225/40s for slicks. No sense paying for an odd tire size when the other will work as good.

Actually, that's not the stock one for this engine. The stock engine mount for the 2.3T has a beefier midsection and very different bushings.

Definitely stay away from the piece of junk you linked to. That thing will snap under the torque this engine puts out.

Yeah, sorry; I meant it was stock for the V6. Either way, Chris is right. That would be a downgrade, and a dangerous one at that.
