I'm close enough to montreal to do this (and I love going there).. but soo much easier to just turbo my FS-DE :P
A stock KL-ZE is faster than a stock Mazdaspeed! And it sound WAY better! :p Once you drive a ZE you never go back!

For sure we take USD!!:) 2 months? We just need 2 weeks! We ever have a 2 week vacation, you know what to do!(wink)

I know a stock KL-ZE is faster than a stock Mazdaspeed.. but a P5 turbo kit that'll give 220whp is around 4k.. which is how much the ZE swap would cost, no? If I had the lump of money, I'd probably do it though :) It would be awesome to have the KL *drools*. I drove a V6 MX-6 LS before.. it does have a GREAT sound.

The major difference is that the KL's internals won't pop a hole in the block (glare)

So what all wiring do you have to redo? Does every wire in the dash/engine compartment have to be spliced?

BTW those swaps look awsome! (omg)

Also can you use the MP5 radiator or do you have to swap in the MX-6/Probe unit?

Need the Bellhousing and starter from a V6 tranny, a blown-up V6 tranny can be easily found under 50$!!
Ok so the stock MSP tranny would be compatible? I don't want my quiaffe LSD to go to waste.

So do they sell these engines fully built? How hard (aside from the wiring) is it to install this motor.. does it need custom mounts and stuff?

And from there.. is there room for a turbo? Or is it wedged in there pretty tight?

There's just barely enough room for a turbo... the canucks built the one with a turbo.

I would do this swap for sure and pay decent money if someone would be willing to rewire my harness for me, probably upwards of 1k for that alone!

not all, but most.

MX-6 rad and fan or Miata rad.

Yes, you keep everything from your FS tranny except the bellhousing.

Fully built? What do you mean? rebuilt as new? Usually you buy the engine from a JDM engine importer and change a few gaskets, seals and timing belt. If you mean a tuned engine, we offer that too.

The engine fits bolt-on with the stock FS mounts! Only need the V6 bearing holder on the half shaft and you can use Protege driveshafts!

There is enough space, but you have to be creative for the piping! Battery MUST be in the trunk.

Pay a trip to Tintin! :)

What I mean is.. forged rods, forged pistons, or any other performance internals.

Maybe I could save for a while and pay a visit sometime in the future. :)

they make all that for the KL...

would a KL03 fit too? i hear they have lower compression stock, i also found a forged rebuild kit for that motor..

could be nice to us, and give us a a complete part list, and maybe in the fuiture let us know what wiring to the harness u are doing? its alot but we would be very very grateful. it looks to be as simple as puttin it into the 1g.. minus the wiring.

did u try the obdII pgt/mx6 harness/ecu? if so what happen, and do u tihnk it would be easier to maybe use a dash/fuse harness from a obdI (mx6/pg 4cyl) , and use a OBD1 pgt/mx6 6cyl engine harness?
