V6 for p5?!?!?!?

So is it possible to swap in the KL-ZE and maintain OBD-II if you sourced a OBD-II KL-ZE? Would I have problems with emission testing since I would be swapping engines?

You would have to run the car on a 96 or newer Probe V6 ECU.
You will never find an obdII kl-ze. OBDII is one of those things that is kind of unique to the USA, and since the kl-ae never made it over here an obdII ecu was never made.

I've actually seen a v6 protege but I have no clue where, it was on a forum somewhere, he had pics too. He said it was a tight fit but he got in there.

Is it me or am I crazy? (well i am asian, so crazy is doable)
But am I the onlyone who remembers that?

Would I be crazy if I wanted to drop a RX-7 in a protege, I feel there is plenty of room for a rotary engine in a protege. Drop one from corksports list. See what that does.

I have seen a KL-ZE in a 323. I am sure someone has done it. BUt if you live in an area with emmisions testing you are going to have a very hard time getting it to pass.

I'm with you, living in an emissions crazy state I'd have to have odbII and be smog safe.(bang)

Oklahoma got rid of that a few years ago.

There's a supra with big white decal on his bumper, emissions tested. I thought it was pretty funny.

its possible to run a obdII ecu/harness on a ze, but like the guy above said it would be to find a obdII ze, i mean u could always make a ze out of a de if u wanted one that bad. i feel sorry for the obdII guys...the kl in a protege is a fun ride!!! but there are plenty of obdII probes with a ze, and im sure some of them have to do emissions. i jsut want to know what did u all use? and how much different it is from the 1g?

TinTin Make a kit or heck make, a manual (in english) on this I would buy one in a heart beat!
He started one in french!(shocked)
It's pretty impossible to make a kit. The swap in mainly feasible thru knowledge and hard work!(first)
You can always bring you car to us!!:)
