you can add a 3 inch cat back and a little piping and still come out lower then some of the current ones on the market.

I don't know if u noticed but the price of R&D for the exhaust lays within the first 1/4 of the exhaust.

You can get 3'inch cat back exhausts for like $500.

But as soon as the system is a turbo-back its over $1100.

505, I think the reason you are seeing so many negative comments about pricing is because the protege is basically an economy car. I'm sure the majority of people on here would have gotten a more expensive, faster car if they were able to afford it. You have to consider the target audience. If it can't be made at a price that ausience is willing to pay, then that sucks, but thats the way it goes.

It's like trying to sell yachts in the middle of the ghetto. Maybe 50cent will happen to pass by during the shooting of his next music video, and pick one up, but it's not very likely.

that is the same design of my dp, but mine was custom and the guy who did it for me only charged me $150 and it only took him 4 hours to do it. but thats my .02 cents

I disagree, the reason why there are so many negative comments is because the majority of our MSP brethren are assholes that like to complain. Why do you think we have such a bad rep with just about every single aftermarket company? That is no BS either, companies have heard about this place, and they intentionally avoid us like the plague. I can't say that I blame them honestly.

I should have figured that it wouldn't have been worth it to you guys and not even pushed for a production version. Yes, even looking at the pics of the mock up, I think it is worth however much Beau wants to charge for it. Nobody else makes a TRUE 3" to begin with, and with the cost of materials being so high, I think it is worth every penny. You guys seriously have NO idea how much time it takes to oval the pipe with the radius on that first bend being so tight, and how long it takes to properly make it clear the compressor. Even if there was a jig, I bet it would still take close to 8 hours to make one. Go pay a shop to do that, and you will be paying them probably about 65 bucks an hour for custom work. Add in the cost of the materials, and yea.
