True 3" MSP DP

No disrespect ment. I'm sorry you got so bent out of shape and I hope I didn't add to it. I didn't mean to bash or step on anyones toes. You had to have thought before hand someone was going to say something about the prices you mentioned.....weather they were wrong or not. Maybe it's partly cause I know I and maybe others, can't even come close to affording a piece like this.

(rockon) Sounds like you have a hot set up all around including the new exhaust piece. Good luck with that monster, keep the shinny side up. (spin)

It's just been so long since I have seen where the stock exhaust sits, and we didn't have a stock midpipe to throw on my car, so we are sending one to mallard to test fit it. As soon as he gives us the word then we will be getting the ball rolling on the 2.5" pipes again.

You should have word at the beginning of the week. I'll let you guy know the min I get the car apart.

Looks great guys!

And about the price. You get what you pay for. If you want quality work made from quality materials, you have to pay more than for that rink-e-dink $50 eBay piece. I would rather pay the extra money for something that's going to give me the best performance and last the longest.

Keep up the good work!

Lol, using a 3" DP and leaving the stock midpipe would be less than ideal IMO.

i say make it out of aluminized steel with no coating and you will have alot more people buying it. like some people have said its not that it might not be worth the price is just that most people dont have that much money to waste on a DP. either way it looks good.

I haven't read through this whole thing, but what I have read concerns me.

The downpipe I made for Rich is made from 321 Stainless Steel. If you can get a 3" downpipe made from 321 stainless steel for under $500 please let me know where as I'll buy them from them. If you can get a 3" downpipe off ebay for $150, then do it.

I have no intentions on mass producing this piece. I do have intentions on building 5 though. Those 5 will be sold to select customers at cost of material to show my appreciation for being great customers, great MSP owners or for being patient on parts that might have taken longer than expected...

MAM that is great. I am in the process of replacing my DP for the first time, I say 'process' because this thing is a b**** and sat overnight unfinished. Even with taking the mani and turbo out.... the limited amount of space down there is nuts. So... I commend any vendor that takes the time to develop something that is such a pain in the ass. Developing something like this is probably 10x harder than, say.... IC pipes or something. After looking at what Rich has, I am amazed you got that to work down there. Congrats man. Keep up the amazing work. Once I gather the $ to forge, I think I have made the decision to have you do it. (even though you are so damn far away). I already have Cunningham rods.... but might sell them and just have you do all the work.
Rich better do the same soon!

BTW.. Rich... what turbo are you running?

B,

What qualifies as a long wait for parts?

Yup. I've had my pistons and rods for almost a year now, but have been waiting for the right time to do the build. It is coming soon.

I have been running the GT28RS for quite some time now... I got the turbo when I bought the pistons and rods, all from Beau.

If it takes 6 weeks or more for US to get the parts then we are going to drop the line.In the past 2-3 months parts are getting harder and harder to get.Manufacturers will ship your order to someone else who has larger orders. Example Aeromotive took 9 weeks to get us our regulators. This is because our order was for 7 of them. Now if I was Summit racing and had 100 on order and they only had 93 instock, my order would now be pushed back to fill the 100 pieces needed by Summit.

It sucks, but I have been put in a few tough spots to where this has to be done.
