The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I spent 2 hours tuesday cleaning my AC unit outside. That was uncomfortable, but that thing was nasty.

We mowed the lawn early in the week early in the day so as to avoid the heat. Avoided it a little... Fortunately our house shades the whole backyard if you're out early enough, but that's about it.

We were just in the desert in like Utah less than a week ago- it's in the upper 90's there and i believe one day reached 106- this ohio weather shouldn't be too bad, i'm up for a blazing hot death march through hocking hills. There's gotta' be a cold cave or something down there for me to hide in until the sun goes down and it cools off...
...okay the sun doesn't fully go down until like 8:30 and even then it doesn't cool down.

Have you tried the one from your car in his just to see if that's the issue?

According to his dealership, two wires snapped out of the piece that connects the harness to the MAF. Only way to really fix it is to get another one and splice it to the harness. They can't find a used one and buying new means the whole harness has to be bought for $2500. I've got Chris and my parts guy trying to find one as well.

Why is that the only way to fix it? I have reattached wires to broken clips before, it should be possible. You have the wire, you have the clip. All you need to do is reattach the two. This was done on older cars, so it may not be possible with the 3. I'm betting there is a way to do it though.

Mowed my lawn last night, was a great time. Skipped the weedeater though since I last mowed it on Saturday. Stay hydrated guys! I'm going to stay refreshed with a Jim Dandy later this eveing. :)

Sounds like they don't want to get into the connector for some reason. I've told him to talk to his friend who can rebuild anything to see if he can resolder it. I think they might be afraid it won't work. I'm ordering a pigtail from Ford to see if its the same. Fingers crossed.

I didn't think of Fatti. Good call.

I have a bottle of gatorade in the fridge waiting for me. Thankfully, the yard is small, but I have to run the weedeater too.
0.6 acre yard :( I get to take out the push mower (a.k.a. cloud-of-death-generating maching), the tractor, and the trimmer. Should be about 2.5-3 hours of work (damn trees).

(damn trees).

We lost our big tree in the front to emerald ash borer- it used to block the sun from heating out house up early in the morning so now i wake up and it's as hot in my room as it is outside with the AC still on. Also used to block the sunlight from coming into my room and waking up my birds... now i wake up to screaming birds and heat.

Gotta love trees :D

Try to have fun mowing the lawn! I listen to some really loud empire of the sun and mow my lawn in a big circular pattern... good times yo

I hit a new record mowing the backyard last night in just 42 minutes! Front only takes about 20. I swear it would be easier and faster with a regular mower than the self-proppeled that I have.

^^^ Sounds delightful.

My front and back lawn should only take about 30 mins. But my crappy mower keeps dying on me... I'm getting a new one this weekend and putting racing stickers on it. Should bump the hp up to 7.

Takes me about 35-40 minutes to do my yard with this guy:

Where is Menchies?

With all your money. Don't you have people for such tasks?

I chase mow (self propelled) our lawn. Not in this heat though.
