The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I sold some parts laying around and have some extra cash. I would really like a cordless impact. What one or few do you guys recommend?

With all your money. Don't you have people for such tasks?

I chase mow (self propelled) our lawn. Not in this heat though.

I wish!

By chase mow, do you mean one of those mowers you stand on a little thing that pulls you behind it?

Longacre makes a cheaper option too:

Snapon makes the best cordless impact wrench.

I do love my corded Craftsman impact wrench though.

Or just bring a cordless drill and 1/2 breaker bar with a socket. That's basically what I did with Will's cordless impact. It made everything SO much faster, even if the cordless impact didn't have the balls to break the lugs loose.

My 12V DeWalt can take stuff off if you don't break them loose first too, but it drains the battery that much faster. If I was buying new I would get something with the oomph to get stuff off from tight.

right now I just breaker bar everything loose then hand tighten it all then use the torque wrench to tighten everything up. Would just make everything so much easier and faster

for everyone complaining about the heat, i better not hear/see any of you bitching about the cold in winter, cause ill come punch you in the throat!

its summer its supposed to be hot, if you plan ahead you can still be outside and active, ive wrenched on the 2 cars (2 new axles) in the last week, went to a World of Outlaws Sprint car event, bike every morning, and have been mowing and clearing brush/trees off the property all month. YES its bloody hot but its the middle of ******* summer, its supposed to be hot! haha

I like how you're only sarcastic about the first part and serious about punching in the throat.

Sounds like they don't want to get into the connector for some reason. I've told him to talk to his friend who can rebuild anything to see if he can resolder it. I think they might be afraid it won't work. I'm ordering a pigtail from Ford to see if its the same. Fingers crossed.

I didn't think of Fatti. Good call.

NP and GL

LMAO Levi!!!! You won't hear me complain about the heat (only the humidity from time to time). Guess that clears me of a throat punch for complaining this winter. :p

Will, that's a nice machine but way too much mower for me. I've got just over a 1/4 acre so I have a simple Craftsman with a 21" cutting deck and no pansy ass self propulsion either. Have to keep this one in mind though, should Honda put it into production. ;)

I love the cold, and I love winter.

On other news, our plotter died today. If we can't get a drive belt and pulley, its gone for good.

I saw the Stig sitting on that mower. Top Gear's Facebook page posted it.

My Craftsman works just fine and use it all of the time since Christmas.
