The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I've only bought from DTD once when I got my NT-01s. TireRack doesn't carry them and DTD price matched some ridiculous price I found online.

Same here, bought my NT01s on DTD. I was able to get the Nittos in 235/40/18 for $195 each.

I just checked an invoice from buying tires from Discount Tire about 1 year ago and I was charged 6.75% tax on my order ($53.73). Shipping was free.

I checked an invoice from buying tires from Tire Rack about 2 months ago and I was not charged tax. However, they did charge me $54.90 shipping.

So either way, it looks like you have to pay for tax or shipping LOL. Unless you find it somewhere else for the same low price with free shipping and no tax.

Guess I make out not having a DTD local so I can avoid tax and shipping. :) For you guys, guess it comes down to who you prefer to buy from.

Just bargained $33 down (from the original price) for a rear subframe for the V, includes the sway bar and end links. Win! I like the "make an offer" feature. Most of the @ss is going to look brand new - yaaay!

Mmmmmm....so are you going to be posting pics of this brand new heiny? hahahahahahaha

I'm interested in seeing these FDs on your MS3. I think they'd make a good track wheel with some 225/50-16 Rivals. :)

Wonderful. Now the drive home is going to take an hour because people believe rain will make their cars magically slide right off the road so they need to go 25mph on the highway.

I know, right? Atleast I have rear tires now with tread, so it won't be so sketchy to drive in this stuff. Rain hasn't hit here, but it is supposed to hit in the next 30 minutes.

Well you know why it's raining, right? Because I washed my car after work yesterday. Blast!

I thought it was because I tempted fate and left my windows down two days in a row. In this case, I'll let you take the blame. Darn you Evan.

I washed Lauri's car to yesterday! Damn it to hell!!!! Also there is an accident on 480WB at the Valley View Bridge where a sign blew over and hit a car......WTF....

Glad I left early. 10 minutes to get home - yaaay.
Wide tires are throwing crap at me when I have my hand out of the window though - always something...

Wohoo, storms. I like storms

I was sitting on Tallmadge Ave under dark clouds with the top down when I saw a flash and I looked up and HEARD the lightning. Either that or the lightning somehow affected the transformer that was right above my head. Quickly (half a second later) following was a crazy loud thunder strike.

I've never HEARD lightning o.O it was just an odd crackle

Welp fd wheels just got sold out from under me. He owed his buddy some favors so he just gave them to him

You can run up to 245 on 8" wide. Going past that starts to defeat the purpose of wider tires. What price range are you looking for wheels Patrick?

I think I'm going to be on the look out for some FD wheels for the MS3 for a track tire. I can start out with something like Rivals in 225/50 and move up to some R compounds in 245/45 later. Even the Rivals with the same section width as the stock MS3 tires have a half inch more tread width. Not to mention a much better tread design and compound.

That'll happen when it's close enough to you eh?

Sometimes i'll see a flash and almost instantly a loud bang/"explodey" noise- i think that's either a transformer blowing (don't know if that really happens), a cutout/fuse blowing open along a power line, or a lightening arrestor blowing up.

I was out digging for bottles in the derecho last year and a transformer or something blew near me... that was LOUD.

I think two derechos have already blown through the northwest part of ohio in the last month, should be a good year for storms!

Oh... and it's completely dry here on the west side of columbus... got a sprinkle earlier this afternoon and that was all-

I was way out last night, I didn't hear any of the storms. I also had a completely dry drive home last night.
