Infotainment Spider Cracks?

What is this? Are they spider cracks? How did it happen, I just noticed it today…

2017 Mazda 6. How does something like this happen? Did someone bang the screen with something?

Not likely. I think the spider cracking is screen delamination from stresses potentially caused by temperature shifts.

Take it to the dealer and see if they can help. If they refuse, escalate to Mazda Corporate. Because this is not a recall program, and because the SSPB9 doesn't reference the Mazda6, there's no guarantee that they'll agree to fix/replace the screen for you, but you can try to pursue a goodwill replacement.

Worst case scenario, you are denied assistance and you either live with it, or attempt to replace the failed part yourself (or buy the parts and have someone else replace it). If that happens, here are some links to help you find replacement parts:
