Racist bar signs?

A portugese mix? THat thorws off all guesses every time.
I remember this one Irish/Portugese chick at the local stripclub....dear christ she was SO HOT!

Close, I get portugese because of my last name Pedreira.

But I am technically 100% spanish from origin. All my grandparents were born in Spain but because of regime changes they migrated to Venezuela for a better life style and oppertunities. My parents were born in Venezuela, as well as my older sister an I. My younger sister was born in US of A. But when people see me, everyone swears I am not hispanic because "im not black". I am white as can be, not pasty white, but white.

Illegal immigrants take the jobs that lasy ass welfare recipinats dont want!

Huh, I win :)

By the way, Donas I have to say I really respect people like yourself.
I know I have had it relatively easy comapred to a great many people. Luckily for me my grandparents were exactly the kind of person you are know and made there way here and established themselves on their own making my life mush simpler in comparison.

Not trying to change the subject at all. Welfare is not the problem and neither are the ones on it that milk it if that is what you want to call it. It does not afford you a lifestyle to be proud of or to be envied by someone not on it. If you are upset that there are problems with it and your feel that you are missing out on your piece of the pie, go sign up and enjoy all of its trappings.

My point was that it is misplaced whipping item and there are many more things for hard working American citizens to be upset about. But its much easier to focus on the poor while the corporations receive welfare that is neither deserved or needed.

Well I will spoil it and say that as a hispanic it is possible to fail a spanish class, especially if youve learned the language nativly because you learn it differently. This is going WAY off topic, but essentially the american spanish system of teaching in HS and college is to make it super simple and break it down, so for example I personally know how to do everything automatically but I do not know the reasoning behind it. So if you ask me what the subjuntive congregation of X word is I would ask you for an example and after said example I will do it properly.
Understood but this was Spanish 1. So there was at most only basic sentances.

The problem is that it does afford you a never ending lifestyle and one with zero accountability or responsibilty and one that will only lead to more problems for those people and the general public.

No its not, I can be pissed about a great many things at one time. I have a rather large capacity for it actualy. I will not ignore a problem of current discussion becuase another problem within another subject exists. To do so is rather foolish.

All the credit goes to my folks, we don't always see eye to eye but I am who I am today because of them. I hope to just pass it on to my kids someday!

Yeah your right those welfare recepients are the cause of all of society's ills. Damn welfare recepients. Thanks for clearing it all up.

Welfare is no more the source of all societies ills than The Iraq war or George Bush is.

Welfare however is the current topic of this thread. Thats what we're trying to focus on. :)

then the kid was a slacker and did not care, or for the instance of my lil sis the spanish is pretty rough. But I think that he didnt care, I never cared for spanish classes in HS they were boring to me haha. And my spanish isnt that awesome to boot. its great and gets me by but my vocab is alright.

Yes becuase there can be only one true cause of all the worlds problems and we have all picked this one

Yo puedo escribir Espaol muy bien, pero puedo hablar Espanol bastante bien. Esto es porque viv in Cuba por quatro aos. Hay dios mio, mi espaol es teribl!

But in all seriousness. I'd actually be open to a guest worker program that gave have Citizens the first crack at the jobs "Americans won't do" and then offered any unfilled positions to migrant workers under supervision.

I think if implemented well, this would keep everybody happy.

I think drug-testing for govt. aid is a great idea. I had to pee in a cup to get my job, so why can't they do the same? AND I pay taxes to help them out!

It's a general statement... doesn't pin point any race...and it's true

Do you think CNN interviewed her because they new she might have a good opinion about this ? You think it was just a coincident ? ah, don't think so...

They new the reaction they would have from her.... I guess whats funny is she knew what they had up last month !!!!

I've seen this one as a bumper sticker:

"WORK HARD people on welfare depend on you"

Donas - Your espaol is bad (lol2)

Yo quiero guacamole AHORA MISMO!!!!!!!

Guacamole o Muerte!!!!!

just imagine the political (and appeals) nightmare and what it would take to administer this.

It would never EVER happen in the current govt. It would be killed in congress or the senate by special interest groups that would label anyone who so dared suggest it as a racist, bigot and the media would do their part to demonize them as public (welfare) enemy #1.

Theres not a snowballs chance in heck that such legislation would pass. But it should.

Like many have said: If we have to do it to gain employment, why shouldn't welfare recipients be held to similar standards?

OOOO, Ill play.
H looks like my Buddy Dennie. So he is actualy Dominican, speaks english fluently and is most definitly not on welfare. Now how in the monkey hell he failed spanish in 10th grade when he speaks it as well as he does english I will never know.

By the way, why does it matter what color he is or if he is on welfare, its just a pic of someone have a midly good time in a rocking chair.
I dont approve of the plad shirt though, very 90s grounge.

the questions points out the problem with this thread... the news story.. and one of the issues with race.

people do not know the difference between RACE COLOR ETHNICITY CULTURE NATIONALITY & ORIGIN

I asked what "color" the man was and I get "Dominican".

btw a few facts about the person in this picture:

RACE:Black
COLOR:Brown
ETHNICITY: African-American
CULTURE: changes with mindset/likes/dislikes of the individual
NATIONALTY:American
ORIGIN: Africa

his great grandmother was ***** by a "white" man productin his grand father so he's technically black & white

he spent A LOT of his life on welfare

In his opinion the only one that truly makes him "who he is" is his CULTURE that is his to define.

Seacrest out!
