Questions about MSP...

D-rock: Yes, he knew what he was doing. Seems he put on "the right stuff." By saying that, I mean he didn't add any stupid or harmful mods. It has the sidemount intercooler, which is closer than one mounted farther in front which means less turbo lag. He also put on a Apex downpipe (not quite sure what that is... like headers maybe?). And Greddy p2 catback exhaust. So yeah, I'm happy.

I don't know if he was a member here... good question! Very possibly. He just got a sweet MazdaSpeed 6 :)

yeah man enjoy the msp. I bought mine at 37k miles and i just got to look at the warrany list of all warranty repairs on the car before i owned it. tranny at 10k miles, 3rd gear at 32k miles. turbo assembly at 31k miles and some other minor stuff. im sure the tranny replacement was due to the differential, but yeah i agree, just take good care of it and it will take care of you. i havent had any problems with the differential on mine. although i did break the third gear shift fork probably from too many quick shifts into third. But other than the bushings and motor mounts i havent had to do anything as far as repairs until just now, im getting the tranny rebuilt with all new gears, cyncros, bearings and forks. Its been a blast to drive it now has 80k miles. i have used mobile 1 synthetic since the day i got it and change it every 2500-3000 miles. No problems with the turbo at all. matter fact i just did my fmic setup and the turbo still has very very little shaft play at all. same amount as when i checked it when i got the car. has no oil leaks. just did the timing belt and belts 1000 miles ago. Easily one of the best all around cars i have owned.
