Poly Bushings

so how would i go about installing the new bushings? would i need a press or what? also how do i get the old ones out?

just a little creativity - i replaced all the bushings on my old spitfire with nothing but a couple of sockets and a bench vise

Any further on this? I just ordered a set from stage four motorsports. I was also wondering if it's wort trying to press these in and out myself? I can remove the control arm but I'm thinking I'll go to a shop with a press.

It depends on the bushings. I just replaced the trailing arm bushings on my '94 Protege with SuperPro polys and they pressed in by hand.

Reviving this one... hopefully a moderator can delete the spam.

I'm going to be ordering the Pedders set from Corksport this week since the rear lower bushings are shot on my front control arms. Anyone already have these?

I did too, but apparently mine won't be getting here till March according to Corksport. :(

Holy crap I better order mine soon then if I plan on installing them before autocross season!

Sorry guys, I totally flaked out on this one; I really wanted to test the superpros but they had issues with delivery, so I thought I'd wait till the following spring and then my P5 started consuming abnormal quantities of oil so I decided to put a halt to any kind of tuning and just baby the engine until it's time to change cars... No sense in beating a dieing horse... (deadhorse

I took my control arm off yesterday but have not attempted the bushing removal yet. Looks like they may have a metal ring that needs to be pressed out?
Anyone press bushings on a P5 yet?
Oh and my Pedders are supposed to ship this week.
