Replacing control arm w/ball joints requires control arm bushings?

Trying to have the front lower control arms w/ball joint replaced; is it necessary to have the control arm bushings replaced too?

I'm not sure which control arm bushings I'd need if it's just both a front left lower REARWARD and a front right lower REARWARD? There's also a front lower FORWARD. Rockauto doesn't state if it's for a left or a right, so I'm guessing a pair of these would work for both a left and a right?

Do I need a pair of REARWARD and FORWARD or which one if only replacing the front left and right control arms w/ball joints?

Honestly, unless your ball joints have play in them, I don't think you should bother with your control arms.

If I'm doing a job like that, I'm replacing all the bushings too.

Go to partsouq.com, put in your vin, then go to the interactive diagrams for your car and you should see all the part numbers in one of the diagrams for the control arm bushings. From there determine what to get from Rock Auto or wherever.

First time looking into this type of repair; the control arms I bought from Rockauto did come with the ball joints and bushings, all in one piece. At first, I didn't realize it was stated on the product info. that the bushings come with the control arms.

I was simply curious why Rockauto sold control arm bushings separately. Turns out some control arms Rockauto sells either comes with them or without them.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
