Noisy Alternator

anyone else have a noisy alternator , like a whinning sound at about 2 to 3000 rpm's. been to the dealer a couple of times and complained about it . finally they are going to replace it .

it sounds a little bit like a supercharger whine.... only when youre slowing down not accelerating... It doesnt bother me...

i had the same problem. i thought it was cool, like i had something spooling under the hood. it turns out that my alternator was going bad...hence the noise. Then my car proceeded to die. Yet another thing replaced under warranty to add to the 15+ replacements...but Check it out, soon.

it is def the alternator, that went on my hoinda and it started doing that when i was at liek 2-3000 rpm

Not sure if anyone else has had this problem or if its the alt but when i let off the throttle at highway speeds i get a whine sound too. It comes from the front passenger side(and yes I do know the alt is there but the sound doesn't, at least to me, sound like its coming from under the hood). I could be mistaken of course.

P.S. anyone had sounds from the manual shifter..like a constant tick (remeniscent of a baseball card in the spoke of a bike).
