2011 CX-9 GT AWD
Greetings to fellow CX-9 owners,

I have spent a few months researching a replacement for my 2004 Odyssey (lots of this time was spent on this forum). The van was getting old, and I did not want to replace it with another minivan. After much of research, and test drives, the CX-9 emerged as a clear winner. All the reviews about "fun to drive" were right.

Finally, on Tuesday, after 2 weeks of shopping around, I took a day off, and bought a new 2011 CX-9 GT AWD, with Bose/Moonroof, Pwr Liftgate, and a bunch of other options, which I thought I could not care less about, but now starting to like more and more. Decided not to take a Nav, did not really like it, and did not want to give up 6 CD disk changer - and pay extra $1400 in the process. It was quite a challenge to find GT withouit Nav in Blue color, they seem to be quite rare. And I could not go with Touring - just had to have my 20 inch wheels and HID headlights :)

Here is what I got on my 2011 CX-9 GT AWD:

Moonroof and Bose Audio with 6 disc CD Changer
Power Liftgate
Remote engine start
Roof Rails
Splash guards
All-weather floor mats
Moonroof wind deflector
Wheel locks

Paid $34,850 (includes all fees), plus tax. I think I got a good deal, considering all options, invoice was $35,835.

And here is the picture (isn't she a beauty?):

I am new to Mazdas, had Hondas so far, so I am sure will be around asking questions.

congrats on your new car !! IS the $34850 include the 0% financing ? Also what other fee are there beside the destination fee ?

Yes, this is with 0% APR.

In addition to destination fee the price includes doc fee, DMV fees, and some $500 advertisement fee, which NJ dealers insist they must pay. Before the fees the price was about $1800 under invoice.

Congrats and welcome! We too liked that blue color, but there wasn't any around, so we went for Black :)

I guess I was lucky to get the last blue 2011 without nav in my area - there aren't any now within a 100 miles of where I live.
Brilliant black was my second choice too, but my wife really wanted blue one :)

I see you got a set of winter wheels for your CX-9. Are the OEM wheels/tires really bad on snow?

Yes, I have head that the OEM 20" Tires (Duelers) are pretty bad once the temps dip below freezing. I am sure, if they are new, they'd be "OK" for winter usage, but I didn't want to risk it. I figure for $1K I can have a dedicated set for Winter, and then use the OEMs for Summer when they are safe.

Note: I have not driven the OEM Duelers in the snow, so I have no first hand knowledge. I read reviews on here and Discount Tire & Tire Rack. Being in MN, every car that is in our household gets a Winter Set of Tires/Wheels.
