Mystery Engine Noise

Hey all. Mystery engine noise. Sporadic sometime, sometimes all the time. Sounds like a rattling noise from the mid-engine section, though sounds like it is coming from the head area. Most of the noise sounds like it's coming from the belt end of the engine. I will attach a clip.
Any and all ideas welcome.

I use a mechanic's stethoscope to pinpoint strange noises. You can get a set at Harbor Freight for very little money. In the absence of said stethoscope, a rod or long screwdriver would also be helpful.

Well, sonofagun! I pulled the oil pan and found some shiny sparkly things in the oil. Guess it is time for a new engine!
