PCV Valve

Hey everyone

I’ve had an issue with rough idling for a little while now. I’ve seen on the forums that it’s a common thing so I’ve ignored it mostly.

Recently, I’ve started noticing high consumption of oil. And just yesterday, the oil light came on, and I can feel air coming out of the dip stick hole, meaning there’s a lot of pressure in the engine.

I’m no expert, but these seem to be symptoms for a clogged PCV valve. The valve is nestled under the intake manifold. Has anyone tried replacing one themselves, and does anyone have a part # for this?

Just an update, I believe I found the part. It comes as a kit, not a separate PCV valve from Mazda.

Still looking to see if anyone’s had luck changing this themselves

i have replaced a PCV valve on another vehicle...i would recommend looking up your particular vehicle on youtube to see if someone has done it and there is a good video to follow along with...that is how i did it...you may be able to get an idea of where it is located on a parts website with a microfiche showing a blowup parts diagram but sometimes that's hard to do
