MS3 handling characteristics..need opinions/help

ok..left right, corners, i think my car is damn close to excellent. BUT, if you add a rough road, with undulations, i think my car gets squirrelly. say there is a mild off camber turn, with a hump in the middle. damn it if my car doesnt scare me at speed. it is a bit violent in the up and down motion. i apologize if i mess up the terminology, but do i need less rebound?

i want to make my car more stable, because i have decided to try it a few times at the track. not looking into lowering it, or even changing the springs. ( i still have to drive this car on horrible san fran streets) maybe some better shocks? sorry, i have older sports cars with ancient stuff. i am i uncharted territory here.
 
According to Cobb Tuning, a name you may recognize, the factory shocks/struts are too much for the springs in these cars. They upgraded the springs and kept the factory dampers. The ride is harsher, but not absurdly so, and the drop is just an inch. I found the overall ride to be improved with the new springs, because the car stopped bouncing up and down.
 
FWIW, we had an autocross earlier in the summer on a rather rough lot and I was very impressed at how composed my MS3 was. In particular, the slalom had some undulations and grade changes that it handled very much in stride.

A friend of mine was working the area near the slalom and said that my MS3 also appeared, from the outside, to handle it very well. It may have been just the right frequency or something, but I'm very satisfied with how it worked.
 
It may be a matter of confidence. Until you've had your car at the limit in a bumpy corner, you don't really know how composed it is. Once you go to the track and go 100% (make sure you have runoff room), you'll be able to answer your question. Cars can be very different at 90% versus 100%. Some cars are very confidence inspiring until they get near the limit, then they become difficult. Other cars can feel sketchy until they near the limit, then can feel very good at the limit.

I have not had my MS3 at the track, so can't give you my opinion on the car. I have enough track time in race cars and street cars to offer up the above observations. If you don't feel comfortable driving your car to the limit at the track, have an experienced racer do some laps with you riding.

wow, i just read the entire ghostmercury thread. damn, i learned alot. i like how they decribed it as floating...makes sense when i read it.
