FWIW, pics of the bulbs themselves are worthless in assessing headlight and reverse lights. What's important is how they light up the surroundings. (it's different when you're talking about sidemarkers, brake lights, etc... because there you're concerned mostly with how visible the lights themselves are)
The reason LEDs generally don't do much for reverse lights is that they are very intense, but the total light output usually isn't very impressive, and it's often not cast in a usable way. Not saying the above posters' reverse lights are no good, but the pics posted only show how the lights look, not really how they function.
