Ok, I will go and adjust that.

What have Fuel Max and Min?(same page where you adjust the fuel calibration)

The upper limit is what you want the MAF voltage to max out at. Normal is 4.98, just under 5v so you don't hit fuel cut. Some MSP's have had to lower the upper limit when they go higher with boost to keep the ECU from hitting fuel cut. I would say you should be good at 4.98 until around 15psi or so, but I am not sure on that.

The lower limit is nothing, leave it alone.

tim, do you ever get tired of repeating this stuff? you are one of the most helpful and patient members, i can't think of anyone more willing to help us MPI noobies out!!(thumb)

Nah....sometimes when I talk to people and I have to repeat it over and over it erks me, but I try to stay calm. I try to help when I can, I have recieved a ton of help from this forum and Nick, so this is the least I can do to help them both.(thumb)

So did you ever get yours tuned? I still would like to tune an auto, I'm sure it's pretty different.

well, your modified 8psi map is working well...in boost at 5 psi i'm 11.2...i do run rich though before 1 psi, so this where i think i need to concentrate on...i'll be callin you though, when the weather get's nice here and i have a co-pilot!!

TIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh,and NICK

this is a datalog of me in second, then rapidly accelarating,to the fuel cut, then backing off,to end.

serious, this cut feels EXACTLY like the stock fuel cut.

You can see the analog out not going any higher then 4.98v, so the ECU should not be seeing anything higher. I thought you had the fuel upper limit lower?

Also, I don't see your switch coming on until between 1.05 and 1.10 when you have it set to come on at .83, what's with that? What happens if you lower the switch point more, does it come on earlier?

At 7 secondns in, the analog in is over 5v and the out is at 4.9. Then you start to lean out and it looks like it bucks there right? Have you richened up the values in the 46% column at 5095 RPM and up to see if that does anythiing? a 9 there is pretty low, try a 20 (there and up in all columns to the left) and see if that's too much fuel and also lower the fuel upper limit to 4.6v and see if that combo does anything for you. Can you do that and make the same datalog so we can see what happens?

if I sent you this MAP,you could set it up how you think it should be?

odd,I set the upper limit to 4.80,but it went to 4.9.

oh,I was saying the buck "feels" just like the stock fuel cut,and approx. the same RPM too,but it doesn't appear to be caused by the same thing.

Sorry man, I downloaded your log, but played an older one of yours. I looked at it again and made some changes to see what they do. I just added a little fuel and took the upper limit down to 4.7 Also, you have the switch at .90 but it's not coming on until 1-1.10, you might want to lower it to make it comeon a lil sooner.

Just so you know, when you look at a log, you can save the map. That's what I did and just changed the couple things. What boost are you running again?

I am running 11 PSI on a GT28RS,and it's driving me crazy, the track just opened, and I wanna see what this b**** can do at 15 PSI +C1,and some DOT slicks.

You shouldn't be using it. The only ones that matter are the AFR in, AFR voltage, and analog voltages.

I know, thats why I was wondering why it is apearing to be affected in the data log.

I'm currently working out a tune on mine. I hit something very similiar to fuel cut, but it's not... I get it in different gears and different RPM's...

I have been working with the fuel trim and that seems to be removing the "buck/fuel cut feeling" or at least moving the problem higher in the RPM range. So I'm hoping to move the "buck/fuel cut feeling" well past the RPM range I would use ;)

I still have a small vac leak that I must correct and I want to change my timing belt tensioner spring since mine is jacked and I want to reconfirm my timing....

Just came back from dyno shop. I am pretty happy with the numbers, but I think I need to upgrade my clutch and turbo soon.

Last time I dyno, I got 192whp and 184tq at 10psi.

After that, I relocated MAF and installed MPItuner.
We only dyno tuned the fuel map, didnt touch the timing.

First run: 209whp and 233tq at 12psi.
Second run: 213 whp and 229tq at 12psi.
I gain s*** load of TQ!!!!

But here is the downside, my clutch is started to slip, because of too much tq. Plus I dont think they stock turbo will handle more than 12psi.

I will upload the dyno sheet after I scan them.

P.S. at the last a few runs, the car started to have white smoke coming out of the exhaust. They told me I need to get a oil catch tank for the turbo, because the extra oil was going into the engine.

213 is pretty good, but at 12psi you should be higher....nothing a little tuning can't take care of. But that's all pointless if the clutch can't hold up. Good job though, what kind of dyno?
