cool.
i'll try to turn it on sat. morning... if it starts, i'll pee myself
what am i looking to adjust in the analog map, anyways?

What's AEng Temp? Ambient Engine Temp? (just guessing)
what do the #s signify in that analog map?

Make sure your battery is strong.

The AEng temp column is your load column. It act's as a "multiplier" to the 8x16 area. A 1.00 signifies 100% of whatever value the red cusor box is on in the 8x16 column. (and it goes down like .75=%75 and so on) So if the red cursor is on a value of 10 in the 8x16 and a value of .50 on the 1x16, you are only getting a 5 in the 8x16 at that particular point. This is usefull when you tune the switch because at a lesser load you may need the 10, but at a higher load you may not need the full 10 because the switch has came on and is dumping more fuel in. So in that case, you would only need a 5. make sense?

You bascially want to have you non-boost area the same numbers and only work in your boost area.

When you're ready, you got the number, I'll try to explain it better on the phone. It's hard enough explaining on the phone, throw a keyboard in the mix and it's even worse.

well... i started the car up today, took it around the block.
no wideband yet, so i'm probably running PIG rich cuz of the 8psi map on my 4psi car, lol
but it WORKS... WBo2 comes in next week... installed the week after :D

COOL!!! So any issues upon startup? Did you have to tweak it much?

The stock narrow band will get you by for a little bit. I would recommend though not to push it too hard till you get your w/b.

True that, the narrow band on the MPI software, is quite accurate, but as moeed stated dont do to much tuning till you get the wideband. But to relieve you of the richness you can follow the narrow band on the software.

I've read up a bit on my MPI and have found that it is more of a "challenge" to tune with the MSP ECU. Has anyone had luck with swapping out an LX/P5 or even a MP3 ECU in the Speed to tune with the MPI?

Tuning has been made easier on the speeds. If you don't use the coolant clamp, which Nick doesn't include anymore, it does make it easier. In fact, he found a much better way to tune them and if you get xtra injectors as well, the only limiting factor is how much the motor will take.

Cool. Good to know :D

Bigg Tim, I believe you guys were talking about a how-to for tuning the MPI a while ago. What ever happened with this? Was the idea dropped or is it still being worked on?:)

Its not dead. Apoc finally got a nice video cam, and I got time to make it now. Stay tuned....
