Fmic

I did mine by buying a piping kit from CXRacing.com I will have pics soon.. I relocated my MAF, had to cut the pipe for that, then had to cut a couple of the other pipes as well but I am pleased with how it looks :D I'm just waiting on one more pipe to get here that I ordered (needed the L shaped pipe instead of the 90 degree) then it will be done. I also have the TurboXS RFL BOV on the hot side.

Dose anyone have pictures of how they did their custom FMIC?

Thanks guys. Thats what I'm thinking about doing, getting piping and the core and see what i can come up with.

That looks really good, is it custom? I just want a big core, but i like how the hot and cold pipes are ran.

You also have to figure one thing.. if you want a big core, you have to take off your bumper support bar thing if you want one with a height of more than 7.5" otherwise it looks funky coming out the bottom of your front bumper :p That is, assuming you have the MSP front lip, without the lip it may be less than that in order for it to not show. I left my support on, since mine is a daily driver. You can see how I did my cold side in this pic, where my finger is, that's where I cut it for the MAF to be put there. (The other was for Ken, showing the CS Radiator Panel wasn't made right) You can see my cold pipe in the other pic too.

Yeah i understand where your coming from. The thing is i still dd it but eventually its going to be a quarter mile car. And i just want a big fmic because i don't want to have to get a bigger one when i up the boost.

But how big are you really wanting?

That looks so pointless because the bumper is blocking half of it anyways. And plus hes probably not pushing enough boost to even gain hp.

I like the feeling of making something my own. Pre made kits are nice, but they don't offer everything im looking for.

Yeah thats the first one i looked into. If i was going to get a pre made, turbolife would be the way to go.

what mods do you got so far? what are your plans for it? i know you want a quarter mile car but are you doing like a t-3 set up

Well so far i haven't done much, i have a full 3" catless exhaust, su smic upgrade MAF relocation, tial 50mm bov, custom cai, welded lsd, AWR mounts, and a greddy boost controller. Im planing on fully built block (possibly a stroker), head is going to be ported polished 5 angle valve job, 1mm bigger valves titanium dual spring and retainers. Custom tuned race cams, adjustable cam gears, custom tubular mani setp up for t3 or t4 flange, fully built trans, meth injection, and other supporting mods. I still havent decided on a turbo yet, i want to make around 700 hp and push between 30-40 psi. (hopefully more towards 40) and of course the big fmic we started talking about.

thats a high number to shoot for considering the most that has been put down it 5 something
