dcawd meet 6/14

hmm, on second thought, I better check the weather, i heard it was supposed to rain tonite :([/QUOTE]

Hey all,
I just heard about this post from a guy over at NASIOC (North American Subaru Impreza Ownes Club for those that don't know). Anyone is more than
welcome to come to the DCAWD meets, the more the merrier! You'll see a good mix of cars ranging from STI's/WRX's/XT's to VW's, Mazda's and Audi's.
Everyone who comes seems to have a great time :) If it rains tonight, we
have a coevered spot in the back of the theatre, so everyone stays dry.

Coming from Bmore, I'd recommend going 95 then cutting out on the BW parkway (or getting right on this in Bmore) and then following 295 all the way down
to the end and head into VA. Mappoint of the place can be found here:

We usually meet between 7 and 7:15 then head out to HardTimes around 8:15 or so. If you're coming but running late or need directions, feel free to
give me a call. 2/255-3094. I'll have that cell phone on after 6.

It was great meeting some of you on saturday at the Mazda meet. Hope you enjoyed dthe rides! Hopefully we'll see some of you out there :)
Take care,
Sabre (Julian) 04 Blu/Gld STI

P.S. If you like tonight's meet, feel free to join the annoucements e-mail list where we annouce all of the coming meets at www.dcawd.com The
dicussion list is open to you all too, but it's pretty much all Subi related :)

thanks for the suggestion on the directions...is there a toll for the bridge over the Potomac? Ive never been that far around 495.

Nope, no toll's. The only toll that is even close is on the Dulles Toll Road, and if you get on that, then you're very lost ;)
Sabre

haha, nope I wont get that lost...I usually dont like 295 cuz of the lower speed limit but if it keeps me off of 495 then Im all about it(nana)

Ray, perhaps the easiest way to come down is take I-95 South to 495 East/South to Alexandria, which takes you near southeast D.C. and then over the Woodrow Wilson bridge into Alexandria, VA.

This is how we got back home on Friday night.

yeah, just going aroundthe MD side of 495 would be the most straight forward way, but he says 295 is better(dunno) it IS going to be rush hour :(

I live about 3 miles from the WW bridge, and from my experience the rush hour traffic is much worse on the outer loop (going from VA to MD) than the inner loop (going from MD to VA).

yeah, I may just stick with 495 as its bigger and I can go faster, assuming theres not too much traffic...is there a toll for the WW bridge?

just making sure...that $5 toll on the Millard Tydings bridge on 95 in Cecil county makes me paranoid about the prospects of tolls on any bridge(lol2)

well, Im not leaving till 6, which will put me on 495 around 630...so I doubt I'll hit to much traffic, lets hope for no accidents(knock on wood) (laugh)

Good luck, I hope to see ya there! Quick and dirty directions. After coming over the Wilson, take exit 176B (Should be North on telegraph) and stay hard right. You'll basically be making a right hand turn at the last 90% of the ramp. You'll come to a light, go left at the light, then make your next right (also at a light) Follow the road for maybe 1/4 mile and then turn right into the parking lot for the Hoffman 22 (AMC) movie theatre. You'll see us in the ocean of WRC blue around back ;)

i'm sorry #878MSPCHICK, i didn't see who you were riding with. i waited until everyone left the theatre so i could be the first one at hardtimes, tryin to get the cool color matching pics. what a cool pic black evo, msp, wrx, bmw all in a row. and that was just black. next time you come you gotta ride with colin, his wrx will spank just about any sti that is still in somewhat stock trim. thanx so much for comin out and rep'n MEC

(werd)...that was a great meet. It was nice for everyone to accept the P5 with open arms...even if it was one of the only N/A cars(other than the M3 and R32) and definitely the only one under 150hp(lol2)...i had tog et the F out the Way on the highway when i was strugglin to get to 90 and I see an EVO, M3, and STi hauln ASS right behind me(drive)

I'll definitely be out to the next on (rockon)

Ooh, there was an R32 this time? I be's at the next one for sure. I want to see one of them in person.
