Boostin Prob PLEASE HELP!!!!

cool im forged too so as soon as i hook everythin up i can jus start the car and ill be on the super stock map? also r yall runnin the superstock map? can i run the map on a forged motor wit lower compression?? i thought i had to tune for the lower compression?

nope, you dont have to tune for lower compression
i was running the superstock map for a while on my car and it hauled ass lol

and yea, as soon as you hook it up, it'll have the superstock map loaded

If you bought the SSAFC brand new it should have the stock super map loaded on to it already. If you bought it used, then it would be be wise to download the zip file off of here and write the stock map to the unit just in case before you go take the car for a rip.

I was running the stock map for a while and it was a huge improvement but I would still get dead 10 afrs in some spots (but never any hesitation or bogging) so now i'm running a different map.

Even with a low compression motor the stock map will be fine. You're compression ratio won't have any affect on the air fuel mixture that is being drawn into the cylinders (it only affects how that mixture is being combusted). You can add more air and thus more fuel with a lower compression ratio but if you don't it's not going to cause any problems, you just won't be making as much power as you could be. Once you decide to up the boost is when you'll have to start making big changes to the fuel map.

Thats not bad at all. I shall look into this.

Are you a member of TOProtege? You might be able to find one used on there or even on here if you'd like to try and save a bit of money.

I picked a version 1 up for $200 a little while ago. Version 2's will go for a bit more because you can datalog the readings from a wideband which is helpful for tuning. Although I haven't found it difficult to tune with the v1.

its cool man.. ima try and mayb do it myself.. might run into few things tho... what is ur # jus in case? u can pm it to me if u want.. i jus really want to get my car goin good ya know?

hell yea!!! awesome man!!! i wonder if thas the case wit mine?? did u do the heat wrap and all??

nope, no heat wrap, car drives the same when it warms up as when it was cold lol
the stuttering problem just made me think it was heat related

i really think its the tune, i just reloaded the superstock map on my car and it runs at 7-8psi consistently whether its hot or cold

well damn!!! haha i jus got that $20 roll of "cool tape" from advanced and put it on one of my cold pipes... it helped a little bit.. but not a drastic change for me.. i also extended the o2 sensor wires so now my o2 is pluged in.. goin to clear the code in the morn... soo all thats left has to be the tune!!! im wake up early tomoro or lol in a few hours and try and hook it up.. i jus hope i make good connections and i don run into anyproblems... im sure you will get a call from me lol... also where did u mount the actual moduel?
thanks for all the help man
i hope to get mine runnin like the beast it is soon so we can have a race, at the strip of course.. lmao

I had it under the seat for a while, but now i have it sitting underneath the cup holder so you cant see it at all unless u pull the cup holder out, they give u a s*** tone of extra wire so you could really mount it anywhere in the car you wanted to
and alright, ill try to pick up but if i dont just hit me with a txt and ill try to get back at you, im gonna be working on my car pretty much all day lol

Right on, I am on TOP so I'll keep my eyes open. With this SSAFC, do you need a wideband to tune it?

okay.. so today i hooked up the ssacf and all i can say is WOW!!! the s*** pulls amazin!!!! i love it!! wana go faster ofcourse bout damn it is a beast compared to what it has been... only thing i noticed is that it still lags for a little bit in the lower rpms then u feel the boost kick in... also its like it wont let me hit the rev limiter.. it jus cuts fuel or brings the rpms down when i get clost to the revlimiter... is that cause of the afc? or is it jus i need to fine tune the tune?
