Boostin Prob PLEASE HELP!!!!

Gonna get my turbohoses IC pipes coated when they get here. I'm also getting a greddy flange welded on since I've just got this Greddy type S sitting on my desk :p

I didn't wanna remove my exhaust mani AGAIN to get it coated, so I had my friend put some ceramic header wrap on. I didn't really notice a change.
hes talkin bout wrapin up the ic pipes as hot air gets blown on them causin them to get really hot!!!...
now the question is what to wrap it wit.... or how or where to get somethin ceramic coated...........
i might try this as much as i dont want too

swaintech ftw! was going to get my pistons coated there but gotta get car back on the road. plus ive spent enough as is.

There is a local place herre to me that does my powdercoating, ceramic coating, cryo treating. Not sure how close Spartanburg is to Cumming, Ga. I'd have to guess 2 hours or so, but might be worth looking into.

I just wrapped my IC pipes today with some "cool tape" from DEI. I picked it up for $25 for a 1.5"x15ft roll at a local performance shop.

I'll see if it helps at all. The last 2 days have not been very humid here and the car has been running like a champ. But we'll see how it is when it gets humid again.

So I took my caar for a spin with out a hood and the car was doing good so far buht then it started the same so I can't be heat soke cuz I'm using fan and 60 mph wind so its a fail!

I'm going to chime in here. I have been posting around in other threads about this problem and no one can give me a legitimate answer. I am having the exact and I mean EXACT same issue as the original poster. There is no way that it can be heat soak. I have been working on this for a while and I have come down to a few ideas. It may have something to do with the MAF or the fuel filter or something stupid like that. I am not running rich, or lean. As far as wrapping the piping, don't bother. That is a waste of time for this issue. It is far too severe hesitation for some heat wrap to cure. Some of the posters in here are describing bad air/fuel mixtures and actual heat soak. Myself, the original poster and a couple others are experiencing SEVERE hesitation. When I start my car, it will run very strong for a single run which may be as short as a 0-100km/h run, not enough to heat soak. My mods are in my sig. I will be getting a good tune on my Unichip to make sure my afr's are spot on and then we'll see whats up. I also have a CEL that comes and goes. I will be checking the code tomorrow. Let's see what we can come up with folks.

hmmm...any chance on a bad fuel pressure regulator? bad wastegate diaphram? any chance of a slight vac leak? what about fuel injectors? maybe fuel pump?

how many miles on everyone's cars?

edit: any chance it could be the bearing on the turbo? oil pressure readings? just throwing ideas out there.

Negative on the WGA and vac leak. I just replaced my WGA and checked for leaks quite thoroughly. Injectors..I doubt it but maybe. Fuel pressure regulator, what do people think about that?

My car has 155,000kms (96,000miles).

I don't think it's the turbo bearing because of how it acts under WOT, how it accelerates if you apply 1/4 throttle but no more then that and how it only acts up when it heats up.

keep in mind i dont have a turbo atm...well a running car atm lol. trying to help you guys from a mechanical point of view

@b dues... glad u chimed in... i hope to get this prob solved real quick... i juz got my car runnin wit forged internals and am now pissed as i put alot of money into this and its not runnin right... currently have 1300 miles on it at the moment.. have 440cc subbie injectors to put in so ill see if that helps.. need to get the ssafc in too to see if a good tune will help..
@ Justanothermp5.. i may need help puttin in the ssafc and since u already have one and know how to install it, will you be willin to help me put it in sometime this week or weekend? im willin to drive to u if need be i jus want to stop runnin rich as ****!!! lmao my # is 864 621 0035 if u wana hit me up and we can talk bout it!!! thanks

I forgot to mention (and it's kind of important) that around 5200 rpm I will boost hard. If it were heat soak, wouldn't it be the same throughout the rev range?

Regardless u should feel a bump in performance. Ecu goes into open loop around 4500rpm. Well atleast that's what my dyno shows. I get a big decrease in hp around 4500rpm then it drastically jumps

Also, I can sometimes predict when my car will hesitate. It doesn't seem to like 5500rpm and above that. When I hit it the car hesitates. The hesitation can be sporadic but from time to time I can watch the rpms hit a consistent number and then hesitate.
