Boost Problem

I have a greddy bspec II boost controller and on my analog gauge when i hit the maximum boost I set, my boost jumps back down to 6psi and then kicks back in to hit the maximum boost again. I was thinking maybe waste gate problems, or blow off valve needs to be replaced, but 2 of my friends have this car and run 12psi and 14psi with less engine mods then i have. Any suggestions, opions would be great. Thanks

well first off what are your mods and what psi are you trying to run. also what is the boost gauge on the controller saying u are hitting

12psi and 14 psi. Hmm Bet they wont be running that way to long. Unless they got forged internals.

the stock wastegate and pipes don't hold boost very well. try setting your profec to adjust for this.

how did you install your EBC? could it be that the value unit is too far from wastgate?

P.S. if you they run 13psi stock internal .... good luck!!!( they will need it)

Are your vac lines from the gauge and the controller hooked up to the same vac source or different?

ps. you and your friends may not be around long unless you have internals and a bottom end.

the only advise i can give it make sure there is a tight seal at all the vacuum line ends. I didnt do this when i put my BOV on and it wouldnt work but i realized when the engine heated up the lines would get plyable and not form a tight seal around the BOV nipple. easiest way is to just make sure you zip tie the ends off all your vac lines

well I have a cai, downpipe, ngk copper plugs, I am trying to run 10-12 psi, ten would be fine if it was smooth through all rpms, but it still jumps to around 10.4psi and then at 4000 drops to 6psi and around 5000 back back to 10psi. I wont run 12psi until I have a chip and a better intercooler. I had the unit installed at Car Boutique because I don't trust myself in that part of the car.
