Hey guys, I just finished up installing my Hella horns and I tried to start the car but it won't even attempt to turn over, as if anti-theft is engaged or something. Is there a special process to start the car after this happens?

All I did was remove the negative battery terminal so it can't be anything else causing this.

I tinkered with a little module under the dash near the pedals and looks like I have a little module box with a turn dial. I turned it a little bit and the car started but once I turned it off and lets the keys in again, the dash light started flickering again and the same problem occured.

Ok..........I havent had my P5 but a few days, but try unlocking the door lock fully. I bumped my lock before I hit the hole....and the alarm started blaring....well.....horn honked its wimpy honk.......put the key in the ignition and nothing......so I reunlocked my unlocked door and it went off. Im guessing that I didnt get it fully to the disable position.

put the key in the key hole and twice to the right and once to the left and it should reset your anti theft system. you should be good to go after that.

also the dial on the little box is to mess with the sensetivity of the factory shock sensor.

Oh ok, that makes sense! Damn haha! Thanks guys!

I imagine I do that procedure when the car is unlocked?

it doesn't matter if its lock or not you will have to unlock it after you do the procedure any way. just wait a few seconds.
