Annoying vibration

Ever since I bought my MSP there is a vibration in the steering wheel when I'm driving at highway speeds but the weird thing is that it only happens for a few seconds at a time. It will vibrate for about 2-3 seconds then stop for 2-3 seconds before it starts again. Any ideas?

I was thinking it could be the balance but usually the vibration is constant if the balance is out. The vibration doesn't happen during braking so I don't think the rotors are warped.

mine does that as well, my rear tires are just about shot and they are directional which causes high and low spots since i only rotate front to back. you should be able to feel these spots on the tread with your hand. if not that i would go with a balancing.

Have your wheels put on a balancer and eliminate the speculation. Could be bent or as simple as a weight fell off. Or as stated it could be the tire itself.

Get out and feel your rims. If one is hot, you have a sticking caliper, which can make the car shimmy at times. Probably not the issue, but possible.

OP, What year is your ride? Could be an alignment. Could be the tires are out of balance. Could be suspension issues.

Turns out whoever last balanced the wheels on my car was a COMPLETE retard. One wheel had over 4oz hammered on to the inside of the wheel (they didn't even use the stick-on weights) but with the new tire it balanced out without any weights. I hate dumb people

good god........4oz. They problably didnt check it after they put the 4oz on to see if it was even right
