angled exhaust?

does anyone have there exhaust pipe coming out of the car at an angle (out the hole but the muffler is like a 45 degree angle to the line of the car) you see it on drift cars alot

anyone have it? or pics of it or any info on it (good/bad/stupid)?

it's the hks exhaust that is angled like that. ask razorp5, he has it on his car. there are many people on the forum with the hks exhaust. let me see if i can find you some pics.

i never realized why they started doing that. from what i understand, they angle it to smooth out the exhaust flow. personally, i like the look. and when i have my custom exhaust made this weekend (hopefully!!), it'll be angled.

on certain cars, the angle takes out one extra bend the exhaust has to take, like on the wrx. i don't think that applies to our cars though. for our cars, it just makes it look cool.

hey johnjay5 does your exhaust go under your axle or does it just go over the axle but cut to the side.

My neihbor has a eclipse with a 3 in. d/p back exhaust and his goes under and MAN it looks sweet. The only thing, it kind of kills your ground clearance.

Not only that - it looks like complete ass.

I don't buy that whole improving airflow line - looks more to me like someone bought ill fitting pipes and ghetto-rigged it on anyway.

I prefer the dragging on the road style better.. you get the same broken look.. but also get sparks which look Fast AND Furious!

can you show us a pic of straight shot of the rear end? i am interested to see how the hks exhaust looks if i were to drive behind it. if i come across a ton of money, it looks like i might swap out my racing beat muffler. thing weighs a ton.

i was thinking of doing a custom 2.5 inch with that muffler, how does that sound?

you really shouldnt need the custom exhaust...reason being, the stock piping is good enough. but, yea thatll be decent. i didnt know they sold that muffler seperate

I see a lotta Preludes w/ angled exhaust that is only several inches off the ground.....looks awkward and impractical. But that HKS muffler looks pretty good.

well, the thing is, i plan on going turbo, i think a 2.5 would be better...? right?

on a side note, razor, how much power did u get from your headers? (alot or not much)

if youre goin turbo, yes..

i got a good bit from the headers, but if youre goin turbo dont waste your money
