Adjustable Camber Arm

just found on youtube an electric one made with what looks like a throttle body lol. I would actually like to have one of these. There is enough swing with my axle back to add a 1/2inch or so plug with no modification. Man, I could actually make good use of this with my tune being optimized for the high flow intake/ exhaust (or in this case open) and still preserve the low end response from the smaller velocity of the stock axle back.

A muffler bypass?

Sounds like crap! An assault to the ears. But maybe I'm spoiled by the sound of my 996cc 90 degree V-twin through carbon fiber cans at full song.

A good picture with the rear suspension, from Corcksport installation manual:

I have added two comments myself.

Nice thing about the AWD is you can lower the rear to the max, and jack at the differential. It's a tight space in there.. I recommend ordering some sway bar lateral locks (approx $30 by Whiteline on ebay) to be installed at the same time as the bar.

I made a quick drawing to understand better what is going on here:

By adjusting the toe bolt, which has an eccentric cam in it, the whole control arm, can be shortened or extended.
With combination of the adjustable arm that I have made, the rear bottom part of the suspension, can be pulled in or out, this way can be adjusted the camber.

Looks good, I contacted Font Motorsports and he is trying to become a whole seller for Hardrace; I would like to buy from him if possible. He already sent in the required information, he is just waiting for a response from them.

I know that JBR is currently working on making an adjustable control arm for our CX-5s. I keep checking both places for "new product". Waiting for this before ordering springs

Where did you hear this? JBR implied such athing about 2 or so years ago around the time they were developing the mz3 camber arms. Also the hardrace adjutable toe arm is already on the market and can be used to adjust camber; how much is unknown however.

I contacted them and he (I forgot his name) said the received some control arms that week and they have a CX5 to play with. This was a couple weeks ago.

The thing about the toe bolts is it looks to be behind the axles. I assume people are saying that adjusting toe also adjusts camber.. but not individually. Don't see how you could get both to spec with just one bolt.

Well, that's cool. I will definitely buy one when it appears, from whoever. I'm wondering if JBR sourced their new front sway bar form Hardrace (I am probably buying that bar once I take care of some other things first). It's the same design, same thickness. Hardrace said they were working on a CX-5 camber arm for release mid July, which never appeared. Makes me wonder if the JBR item is actually the camber arm Hardrace is supposedly releasing. Either way, the toe arm probably won't give as much adjustment as a made-for-camber adjustment arm, but when your talking 1-1.5 deg it doesn't take much length. Tibimakis self made arm gave him corrected camber on his lowered CX-5, using the same design as the Hardrace toe arm.

I have thought about another reason, why the lateral link is a better option, then a camber arm. Actually Kevin, from the Australian company mentioned this, but I have forgot about it.
If you pull in the bottom of the wheel, you have room for wider wheels(more clearance, between the wheel and fender).
The camber arm pushes out the wheel, so it will be less space between wheel and fender.

I saw that. when I was selling my jbr mz3 arms on the mz3 fb page page people said the tubular style are prone to bend.

Looks to have a pretty big gusset... It's my daily driver that I'm just trying to lower a bit to look good. Not planning on any super aggressive driving. Price is right. We'll see

I paid 300 shipped for forged alum through font motorsport. that might have ben a sale price though I don't remeber

My lateral links, cost me $183/pair.
With the camber arms, most likely my wheels would stick out. By pulling in the bottom of the wheel, by shortening the lateral links, the top of the wheel pretty much stays at factory position.

Just thought I'd update this as it looks like JPR just added adjustable camber arms for our vehicles... $230 I just ordered a set.
Please keep us updated on how the install goes and your impression of quality, etc.
