a boatload of questions for you megasquirt gurus

XoX, I'll be PM'n you for info on things for a stickie I'll be working on.

I DO NOT like things unorganized. I like things to the point and helpful. Which is why I'm NOT going to stickie this. Hope you understand what my plan is. I will be working on a thread (like my build thread) linking and explaining basis stuff, but linking to the main thread hopefully posted by people who know what they are talking about wit the ems or anything to control the fuel. Aka' I'll be in sticking the ssafc thread and including it. Most likely the title will be something along the lines of "EMS as Tuneing suloutions for your MSP" which anyone with a brain will know a turbo'd 2.0 FS is the same thing to some extent. So XoX, if you don't mid making a master thread about this standalone unit explaining all the major parts (just like your first post in this thread) it would be generaly awesome of you.

Any questions or comments?

No problem I will make a better one, im travellin now so its gonna be done in the next month.

It's ok take your time, which if u break it down in sections I can make titles for each section after you post it.

But I need to find a "expert" on a haultech and ssafc. And any others I can think of.

Def. say maxx mazda is the guy for Haltech

also theMAN knows just about everything too, so im sure he could help.

yeah Maxx is the local cam and haltech ("HAULTECH") expert, how did you forget that

edwin knows a s*** ton about the OEM stuff on these cars (all over the world mind you) but i havent seen him post a lot on the EMS stuff available for these cars. ill have to think of who i know thats good with the SSAFC.

I would recommend against the MSD EDIS4 coil.

Not only are they not any more powerful than the stock coil, several people have problems with misfires associated with that coil.
They swap back to stock and 'voila', issue fixed. That's when they're installed on the cars they're recommended as stock replacements for (Focus and 4.6L Mustang), so it's not a dwell issue or anything.
