Oh Ryan those are great numbers especially considering the Cape Cod cruise was counted in for that:)

yeah, this was my best milage in a looonnnngggggg time! i was guessing i would stay around 30 +- not 36 for the whole trip!

my filter is so easy to change and i have 2 of them so usually i have it cleaned ready to swap when it comes time!

225 miles on a 1/2 tank = 30.85 mpg. thats my best so far.

i think that if i put a PRIUS logo on the back of my P5 along with a few tree hugger bumper stickers, i can have 50 mpg in no time.

that is not accurate measure of usage...since the gauge is not real accurate as to what is the actual half-tank...if you notice your first half lasts a long time compared to the last half...

my gas guage falls in a linear way. i take about 7.5 gallons when it reaches 1/2 full. i have driven other calls that fall quicker in the first hald and vice-versa.

with my new cat-back exhaust and cai, i cant wait to see the improvement on gas mileage. so far im at 3/4 of a tank and i have already driven 80+ miles! (all city driving, no highway) ill know by the end of the week how much i improved from 24ish city to 30 highway..

by the end of the week? I doubt it
you need to wait for the computer to relearn. it will take a couple tanks for things to settle out probably

ive already been noticing significant improvements in gas mileage.. if its going to take a while for the computer to relearn then my mileage is going to be even higher than i thought..

Your speakin just based on your CAI and Catback? Just makin sure...

I got 36.5MPG a couple weeks ago driving back home from my apartment at school. That was with low profile (40-series) tires, header, catted midpipe, cat-back exhaust, cold air intake, FS-ZE intake cam, Protege MP3 ECU, underdrive pulley, JDM spec spark plugs (NGK long reach copper), and 93 octane fuel.

not bad at all :)

Is the diameter of your wheels larger or smaller than stock? If it is larger, your odometer thinks you traveled fewer miles and therefore your mileage looks worse. If the diameter is smaller, your odometer things you traveled more miles and therefore your mileage looks better.

Magically, as your tires wear out, your mileage will get better and better...but the reality is that you are still getting the same mileage but your measuring data is skewed.

Rim width also has an affect on this. If you compared mileage of the same 195/50/16 tire on a set of stock rims (6.5" I think) and a set of 7" aftermarket rims. You would appear to get better mileage with the 7" rims because the sidewall is stretched slightly to fit the wider wheel. This affects the outer diameter of the tire.

Anyway...I'm just nitpicking...but at 65 mph these little things can mean the difference of a few MPGs just like driving 65 on my snow tires means I'm really driving 68.
