I can't see the AF making them brittle, but read my post about the headgasket possibility.
As for boost cut, I am using my "prototype" FCD unit. It has only hit cut so far at 21 psi when it was in the 60's. Other than that, I have not hit cut at all..
I am having no fuel problems at all running the 116 octane. The stock ignitions aren't too bad- they are stronger than the DSM ignitions IMHO- the DSM's would blow the spark out at anything over .028 gap with higher boost!!! Blow it out at .035 at stock boost with slightly used wires!!! I have had no misfire issues, detonation, nothing...
