1.6 Mtx Lsd

limited-slip differential

and I don't know any LSDs that fit. maybe knowing the trans code, we can find out if any other cars have the same tranny and look for one that way.

yeah sorry i can't help, the lsd is that something that you can just put in your car in replace of the stock differential? and why would you put one in anyway unless you are doing some serious racing?

i just thought someone might know the difference in the MTX, between the DX, LX, ES, MP3, and the MSP, and which one you can put the LSD into. I know someone around here knows, without me having to look up part numbers.

The Protege drivetrain has some weak points when it comes to horespower. Since i have been thinking of putting in a turbo, i wanted to research some of the other things that i will probably need to do.
I believe the MSP and the MP3 have the LSD, so you can swap the diiferential between some of the TX, but i don't know about all of them.

the mp3 did not have an LSD, only the MSP. also, I believe the 1.6 trans is different from the 1.8/2.0.

the 2.0 transmission is not the same as on the 1.8 or 1.6 cars. limited slip differentials for either car will not fit.
