There is a fuse for each power port. You could remove the one for that port when not needed. I doubt there is any other way to disable it.ok thanks. Was hoping someone knew a secret menu. I'll ask the dealer if they have a way to turn it off at the next service.

Good suggestion but I checked and ours doesn't have anything like that.The cooler I have has a setting to turn itself off when necessary to protect the car's battery, you might check to see if your cooler has a similar setting.
