Our CX-5 is DEAD! Any way to turn off Power Ports when car is off?

So we left a cooler plugged into the power port in the trunk and now the car is dead. Jumped it and it seems fine now, but has anyone come up with a way to turn off the port in the trunk when the car is off?

Assuming your '24 is the same as my '22, only the front port under the HVAC controls is off when the ignition is off. The others are always on.

ok thanks. Was hoping someone knew a secret menu. I'll ask the dealer if they have a way to turn it off at the next service.

There is a fuse for each power port. You could remove the one for that port when not needed. I doubt there is any other way to disable it.

there isn't... it's how it's wired... "it's a feature, not a bug".

the only way to fix it is to either add a switch next to the outlet or rewire it so that it does shut off with the rest of the car... either way, it's a modification and causes warranty issues when there's an electrical issue later

unfortunately, the simplest way to deal with it, is a low tech (and inconvenient) way: unplug it when you get out of the car... perhaps someone has made something that can remotely switch it off and on you can buy and you can use that, but any added electronics that you plug into the car can also introduce weird electrical/electronics issues due to interference (it has happened due to cheap crappy phone chargers)
