BC coilover install pics review

Update time: ALl is well in the land of coilovers... still havent gone all the way down but plan to.. just neeed time..time went to putting the trunk back together... i decided on final dampening which is 15 front 15 rear. ya. just what happend. but i like it alot. not to rough. Feels more planted to the ground. Other then that the front clunking has gone away.. my thought is that it might have been the new front endlinks working themselves in... maybe? So of course new sounds...squeaking in the rear... sounds like bad bushings maybe? any other idea..it happens when i have to jdm angle over somthing slowly. You hear a distinctive squeaking as i move.. Also if i shake the car it squeaks in the rear..other then that still love em!! LOwer to come.

saw this at a bbq place and thought of you guys

anyone else have the BC damper adjustment extensions on the rears of their MSP? just tried to install mine today and the seat belt housing is quite clearly in the way. i didn't see an obvious solution aside from just not having rear seat belts which doesn't seem very practical! any ideas about getting around that?

I just put mine back together. iirc you technically dont need it to use the seat belt.. atleast with mine you didnt.. the seat belt just ran through it... so what if it doesnt run through it.. the seat belt holder itself was seperate.

as for an upadate on my coilovers. i checked out the rear.. cleaned it out and lubbed up the bushings.. as in endlink bushings and sway bar bushings.. squeaking went away for a lil.. it came back.. so im guessing i need new bushings for the rear sway..can you get new bushings for the endlinks as well? also where should i buy these from.

the problem is that i can't even attach the extensions without moving/removing the seat belt housing. it's blocking the knob at the top of the damper just enough to make it difficult. if i remove the seat belt housing to install the extensions, then the housing is not gonna go back on where i found it.

as for the squeaks.... i actually got the AXR clunk fix bracket. i slapped a whole bunch of grease in the bushings when i installed it, and so far so good! when i removed the stock bushings they were completely dried out, cracked, and falling apart. other folk on this forum have recommended replacing them with 20mm energy bushings... 19mm if you want to go for a tight fit that might prevent them from loosening over time. i think the key is keeping them greased about every 3-5k miles so they don't dry, crack, or loosen.

^^^ take pictures.. i wanna see if its the same as mine..plus just wana see what your working with.

well that was overlooked before you purchased them, by us too for not telling u. theres no way around it unless u take ur belts out.

sure... i'm gonna try again tomorrow. i'll take some shots.

also, you might try throwing a little grease the OUTSIDE of the bushings as well. just to be sure the squeak is not the bushing rubbing against the bracket or the undercarriage.

oh, damn! really?! i realized the seat belt housing was above the damper knob when i installed the coilovers, but i assumed there would be enough room to attach the extensions. yaaargh! there must be a way....
