who is never buying mazda again?

well customer service is half the product right? this is true for any product,
but yeah oil changes are no longer allowed at the dealer, i only let the dealer do it because it was $20 per change cuz i got that 6 pack oil change coupon thing.

and im not saying there is anything mechanically wrong with the car, because even after a near write off accident where everything got banged up the car still has not had a problem. I also bag the s*** out of the car too.

oh well i dont think ill be giving it up anytime soon tho, my name is pr5owner on just about every forum on the internet, not to mention my car isnt worth anything after all the mods i put in and the holes ive cut lol

As far as customer service goes with the dealers I can't say that I have much experience with them other then recalls. I much rather pay the shop down the road 55 an hour vs the 110 an hour the dealer charges if it came to that point.

I myself will never pruchase a brand new car simply because I would be out of warrenty the first year due to milage or damn near it. As far as the 20 dollar oil change thats not bad my local dealer charges 65! I only asked becuase I was getting warrenty work done my my gf 6.

Nissans suck. I would go Toyota, except all their cars are so boring. Subarus are badass, but they are more expensive. I've always liked Honda, but the only one I like now is the Fit (I like small cars). If there were a US Mazda 2, that would win over the fit.

I guess is my next car isn't a Mazda, I'll have to go for the Bentley.

it's definitely got a little 4x4 action going on, with some lowering and with a couple mods you could push that 2.4L wagon...

I just noticed the AWD option is only available with the automatic....dat sucks...well, not like I'd ever buy one anyway...

I think this is realible car that gets good mpg...I dont wanna judge the whole company because one car, but im not really a japanese car guy in the first place...so next car i will get will probably be a audi which that my friends has CLASS!!!! and also a very solid feel to it and numberous more options, but then again you could argue that it is infact the same as a VW which are known for a lot of electrical problems, which I never had,I dont know though kinda weird for me...its like comparing a kia to a benz...

My family has owned 8 mazdas and thats all i have driven because i like them so much.....I was recently going to get an accord after i totaled my 01 es protege.....when at the honda dealership there was a used 03.5 MSP which I practically stole for 9500 bucks. now I just bought my wife a 3 and she loves it. my old protege saved my life and i trust them and will buy another one! :)

Looks like Toyota looked at what worked in their Scion division and applied it to the Matrix. ugh.

I've been eyeing a 3 or a miata in the next few years. But no plans thus far.

I hate mine so much I bought another one! LOL!

I've had my P5 for two years now and have no complaints except my issue with the paint (it'll be remedied with a new paint job). It's reliable, fun-to-drive, gets decent gas mileage, & looks damn good. I get stares at it all the time. And, I just bought a Miata. It needs some TLC, but it'll be all good when it's done. I have found that Mazda offers more for the the price than any other cars in the same price range.

My Brother owns a Mazda3 (he's currently dating a girl who drives a P5) and my parents own a Mazda6. They are all happy with their cars.

I would never base my satisfaction with a car based on the dealership. I had a POS Malibu and only say that because it had so many electrical issues. The dealership always took care of the issues but the car was always in the shop because of electrical shorts, etc, or because it's suck @$$ Firestone tires always had separated belts (went through 3 sets in 2 1/2 years because the belts separated). I got tired of the damn thing always crapping out on me or being in the shop.

If the Mazda dealer screws up on your oil changes, start doing it yourself or find a new oil change place. I learned how to change my oil a few weeks ago & it's pretty easy. I'd rather do it myself than have someone else do it & have to question their capabilities.

I've own a P5 and now my MSP. I loved both, yeah they
have their lil querks but not too bad. Yup the dealer service
sucks more than other auto makers but nothing a call to
Mazda N.A. didn't fix. I've gone though lots of cars and none of them havebeen average: '92 Subaru SVX, '87 Daytona Shelby Z, '85 Fiero GT,
'88 Pontiac GTA, '91 spirt R/T.
and if I could have any back I would still stick with the MSP or P5.

I like my P5, although I'm still quite noob in this car world...
but one thing for sure, you probably won't get much support saying this thing here. :)

Oh and, every car has their pro and con, life is quite fair on this side...in general and IMHO, honda cares more reliability, toyota does even more, mazda is for fun(and price?), nissan is for power. if you want all this, prepare to pay money then.

Josh

pretty happy with the 5
maybe a speed3
maybe a forester or legacy GT
maybe a prius if gas keeps going up, its like $4.09 in san francisco
got my eyes on a honda cb 350...its gets like 75 mpg but then again its a motorcycle

If you think another non-luxury brand is going to give you better service, prepare to be disappointed. Service has nothing to do with the make.. it varies from dealer to dealer. There are really crappy Mazda dealers out there and there are more or less OK ones. Same goes for any other Japanese make.
I've owned 14 cars so far. Most were GMs (just about all were really bad), one Dodge which was actually excellent, one Toyota which was terrible (both quality of the vehicle and service), two Mitsubishis both of which were quite good, one Nissan which was very good (not the service though) and I now have one Mazda which has been great (the car, not the service) and one Subaru which is a total piece of crap.

the two times i went back to the dealer after i bought the car, they were actually really good! he evn commented about my mods and how he really should have had to honor the warrenty, but did anyway...he then said he thought i did a great job cutomizing the car!

i see myself keeping the mazda as long as i can. but ill be stepping up in the car world to a more luxurious car for my next one. im looking at either an acura tl or the new accord coupe. my next mazda will probably be an fd, but after that, i just dont see another mazda. they have been great to me and my family over the years, but ill be moving up in the car world once i graduate.
