who is never buying mazda again?

How do you contact Mazda North America? I had an oil change/tire rotation done at the dealership last weekend and they really dented up one of my wheels badly. I brought it back and they said they'd make it right, but I'm still waiting on a phone call from them.

I looked up the # online "google is great" it's up there just have to look and read close.

Never gonna buy a NEW one. Might eventually get a miata for the wife. I'm not terribly impressed with the P5, but it's been a reliable car over the last 5 years and 172K miles....

I have nothing but good things to say about my P5, besides normal wear items the only thing that has gone wrongs was an issue with the drivers side seat belt latch. My dealer (mountain mazda in Hamilton, Ontario) has been very good to me, even rushing out as I was leaving after an oil change (I know, I could do them myself, but I live in a condo and don't have a driveway) to tell me to call back in a week to complain about a rough idle to get the EGR fixed for free. They also threw in a set of normal wheel nuts for my snow tires because they have had issues with the lock nuts rusting to the steel wheels before (not much, but hey, its better than charging me for them).

When it comes time for my next vehicle I would look at mazdas first, without a doubt, unless I was in the market for something like a full size truck, which mazda just doesn't make.

That's becaus it IS a Pontiac Vibe. They are both made in California in a plant called NUMMI

see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NUMMI

OT, but thanks for the Nummi link. Found that very interesting. I don't live too far from the BMW plant in SC. They have a "museum" of sorts that displays a lot of their old cars, bikes etc. Really awesome to see...

Anybody have a link to pics of the Mazda factory?

im already lining up to get another pro5 (laser blue)...Might just be me but its been the most reliable car ive owned, no horror stories, should have done your oil change yourself cause if they messed it one time thats when i would take it upon myself to make sure it gets done right, and you need to find the right dealership, not all are jacked up, my mom has friend that works as a tech at mazda and he does stuff on my car for free on his off time, good guy...

Sold my '96 626 friday. 208K miles and I had it 7 years. Did tires, hoses, belts, brakes, timing belt & W/P when I got it. Exhaust in 04. Outer CV boots last year. One lifter was ticking. That's about it. I once owned a Fiat X1/9 for a few months. I had more problems with it that quickly. Ford has made a lot of mistakes over the years, but linking to Mazda was not one of them.

I'm actually looking for a Protege5 for my little sisiter and a Mazda3 for my brother in law and trying to sell my mom on getting a Mazda5.

who is never buying mazda again? because of the exp from your current mazda vehicle?

i think i may go with nissan next (will change name to SERowner or something... GTRowner? :D), the protege5 i have has been super reliable and handles like nothing else for the money but the dealership is full of tards, screwed up 2 oil changes in a ROW, an OIL CHANGE! how can you screw that up!

the car is rusting from the INSIDE out, my A pillar looks fine from the outside but on the inside its completly gone, dont know HTF that happened, the car's gas millage is kinda crappy for how much power it puts out, the paint is crap on it, theres like 1.5 coats with no clear or something.

who else feels the same way?

LOL Emm...calm down man. I had rust on the p5 too...got rid of it, but i'm still in the Mazda fam.

And why the hell would you go to the dealer for an oil change? You have 2,000 posts on here and you don't change your own oil?? I suggest you start. Unless you have money to flush down the toilet please stay away from dealerships unless you are there to buy a new car, and then make it quick and get away.

He did it simply becuase he had a coupon for 20 bucks ircc... Hell 20 bucks id let a dealer do mine as well. Its automaticly roughly 16 bucks to do it myself.... so 4-10 bucks to have someone else do it with a warrenty on the oil change isnt bad imo.

I wont be buying another mazda. 1. Because my Protege 5 has been a piece of s***. 2. The dealers around the area are horrible. 3. Mazda American Credit

Problems with my protege 5:
1. Engine replacement short block-- spun bearing
2. Alarm system went out.. couldnt start the car
3. air conditioner went out had to replace the compressor
4. Engine replacement 2 Long block. -- spun bearing
5. Heater went out had to replace the heating unit
6. AC and Heater control panel had to be replaced do to shorts.

All that has been under warranty.

7. Wheel bearings front right x4
8. Hub and wheel bearing replacement
9. Just now my right front strut went out.

Just a heap of s*** my car with 80803 miles on the clock. And I drive like a granny.

i've got 32k on my 03 ES, besides some rattles and plastic caps falling off i havent had a single problem with it. I got my wife into a mazda 3 which she traded in on a 4runner cuz she didnt want to drive it in the snow when we moved back to pa. convinced my dad to buy a new miata(still on order) and will probably get my mom into a 6 when shes ready for a new car. if i had lots of money, i'd probably buy an rx8 and an fd as part of my collection.

Mazda has the best cars for the money if you want a sporty driving experience, decent mpg and reliability for a decent price. Also, mazda still has some of the best looking cars on the market. ZOOM ZOOM FTW!!

Never owned (ones that I bought), any other cars except MAZDA. If you dont change a heck out of it or more like mess with it too much, It will give you the reliability and the trouble free yers ahead. Of course you will still need to do the maintenance things. I noticed that not only mazda stealership are horrible. Even other dealership ex. toyota. My friend bounght a corolla and noticed a ding pretty big but on the bottom of the door. Not noticeble to everyone except me. I told her to tell them before she drives it off the lot. I needed to leave her since I have to work that day. Night time came, she told me they cant do anything abt it. THIS IS A FREAKING NEW CAR!!. Of course i went the following day and confronted them. The manager said, once you drive off the car from the lot, they are not liable to anything. MInd you...she told the salesman abt it before she drove it off the lot and the guy said since it was almost dark to take the car and they will replace it with the same color the following day. Talk abt screwing a buyer.
